How to ban someone
Hey,
I obviously know how to ban someone, but if I ban this person it will also ban another person because they are on the same network. Anyway can I just ban that one person?

I understand it's "impossible" to ban one person in the same network of a group of 1+?

If you ban a IP, the people on the network behind it are not able to connect anymore, thats true.

Yes I know but anyway I can prevent this? Like here is an idea: Ban the IP and port. But it won't let me know. I want to ban this guy but not this other guiy on the same network. They are brothers one is evil and the otherone is very welcome.
And with this trouble maker we can't have his brother joining our teamspeak
Which we find a bummer
Please help and thank you.

password it.
Like i mentioned before, if you ban one IP ( assuming it is static ) you ban all the computers on that network.
What might be able is to ban a certain MAC adress, but that is a very complicated process, and i do not know all details of it.

Damn, well It's kinda patetic to have a teamspeak passworded just because of a 1 trouble maker. He would win that ways plus I don't want it to be a private server. I like it public.

So it's impossible to ban a port : ?

You can't. In TeamSpeak 2, there is no way to ban a specific client. You can only ban IP addresses.
A better ban system has been requested for TeamSpeak 3. Keep an eye on the Developer Blog.

Just one comment.
If you ban an IP lets say 255.255.255.1 only the adress using that exact IP is banned, where if you ban 255.255.255.X then more than one is banned (not even sure if Teamspeak2 can ban a subnet)
Even if you're forwarding an IP as long as you don't ban the internal Ip then banning an external IP shoud only ban one person...apart from a dynamic IP then you ban one IP address.

Huh? You can set a internal IP in there, but still everyone gets in, because youre WAN IP is beeing send with packages, not your internal IP.. That stops at the router.
