Some people can't connect to my server, some can
First... I read the FAQ.
http://www.goteamspeak.com/index.php...=4&item=41#q41
Now. I am running my TS Server on a system with Win XP Home. I have a Linksys Router; I have my Port Forwarding all set up; I have my Win XP Firewall configured correctly...
I have people who can connect to me just fine; one of them connecting to me through a Dial Up Modem and no Router..
Then I have a friend who is using a Router, same one as mine I think... and they can not connect to me. We've tried everything we can think off.. we set up Port Triggering.. we changed around her Win XP Firewall settings.. we even took her Router directly out of the equation...
She still can not connect and everytime she tries, her Client tells her that my Server is not online. How can this be, when I and another person are currently on it?!
She is using the right login info; and her login name is registered with my server, I set it up myself for her...
The FAQ that I read talked about NAT Firewalled routers; I've never messed with any NAT stuff on my Router, have no idea what it even is... the FAQ also said I might have 2 IP addresses?!
..how is that possible and how would I find out what my other IP is? I only know of one outside IP address that I use.
I tried following the suggested fix in that FAQ but... it tells me to put in some IP address that I've never seen before and it doesn't even work.
Can anyone offer me any suggestions here?

I preparing some nice htm page with pictures and I hope explain good enought for anyone ... however is not ready now....
so I try to write a explain ok ??
every computer in network have his loopback (localhost) and if he have some network card he have also IP there .
now when you have a router that IP of that network card on one of the computers behind this router is LAN_ip (local area network) so LAN ip have one second ... pc and router.
router have also next network device wich is connected to the internet.-- This IP is called WAN_ip (world ... simply internet one)
If you do not have a router that network device on your computer have WAN_ip .
so WAN_ip you can check on www.whatismyip.com
and acoording what you write above you provide them just this ip wich is correct (to tell all of then this ip address.)
You can use localhost if you are connecting from PC with that TS server or use LAN_IP in your network behind your router ..
1. Do you understand this what I write ??
2. Can she connect to some other TeamSpeak server ont he internet ?? if you need one tpc.webyt.net
3. yeach NAT I almost forgot
NAT network address translation have every router I think ...
in simple it means that every LAN_ip every computer behind your router have on the internet WAN_ip
example : so it looks like every connection from your 5pc ->internet are comming from one (router) ...
NAT have also tables so he didn't forget anything about these data transfers ...
it means when responce from the internet come back he rewrite IP addresses again and send it to LAN ....
4. write here part of the IP you gave them 83.26.3.x or 83.26.x.x
Can you PM me address of your TS ??Last edited by Tomas; 25-03-2007 at 09:51.

Yes.. I know about LAN IP's and WAN IP's...
Everyone is trying to connect through the WAN IP; on port 8767... and at present neither of them are using any routers... one person can successfully connect; the other can not.

As for the one who can not... she used to be able to connect to someone elses, but we're not sure if she can connect to them anymore cause they recently replaced their router and have been having problems with it. We're hoping to test to see if she can connect to him sometime tomorrow and, if she can, compare his settings to mine..
But still... it doesn't make sense that others can connect to me just fine, and she can't... with the same settings...
