    Lightbulb builtin TS overlay?

    So i was thinking, thanks to the TS Team we have the cake, lets add a lil icing.

    What if you added a built in DX9 overlay -or- an overlay module that is open source. I am NOT saying make TS open source, just the overlay module (had to make clear). Maybe make a module that TS sends data to but does NOT receive from, this way we can have TS clear and easy to read in our games or onscreen in windows/linux/osx for when we dont want to switch back and forth (make games crash alot, plus it get annoying). You could call it a plugin, but I dont like that word very much.

    Btw, I love cake, but icing makes it so much better. Just a thought.

    There are programs that do this, they shouldn't waste their time on re-coding what people have already done.

    This has also already been suggested.

    Well then how about a whole different deal... instead of just an overlay... why not go the whole nine yards and incorporate the xfire technique. Make a simple shortcut that dims the whole background and gives you quick and easy access to a few of the most important features of TS. Specifically the ability to grant/remove rights, kick/ban, maybe even connect/reconnect to servers. It could even be released as an addon as to keep the majority of focus set on the TS3 Project.

    Merely a suggestion

    I would if I could, but much like the devs I have plenty of other things going on in my life to spend time working on something like this. Not to mention I would have to teach myself a little more about C++ and DirectX and OpenGL to even get started.

    But you have to admit, it would be pretty sweet wouldn't it... Maybe a request in over at qbnut's hideaway would be a better place to start.

    {EDIT}

    I did actually just go over to qbnut's forums and post about the idea... http://forum.qbnut.com/viewtopic.php?t=774

    Just have to see what his response is
