Server start-up issues.
Well, my friend and I are trying to get our own (non-commercial) TS server running.
So, we checked this sticky.
Unfortunately, we still haven't gotten it set up.
Here's what we've done.
(my comments in blue)
Now our problem is this:1 - Download/Install - Team Speak 2.0 Server.
- http://www.goteamspeak.com/ Yeah. That was easy.
2 - Start Team Speak 2.0 Server. Pretty sure we got that part right as well.
3 - Registering Your Team Speak Server
- Start Team Speak 2.0 Check.
- Locate and open your Server log file using Word Pad
(c:/Program files/Teamspeak2/server) Check.
- Locate your Login and password Check.
- sample ( LoginName: admin LoginPW: bmjk3 )
- Right Click on the Team Speak 2.0 server icon in your tray and select ( Administration ) Check.
- You will be prompted to enter the login and pass you just retrieved from your Servers log file.
enter your info and save Check.
4 - Navigating and Setting up Team Speak 2.0 while in the Web Browser
- Select your server Check.
Users Manager
- click User Manager, then click on the tool button to the right of the admin Check.
- Type in a new admin password in both the fields Check.
- make sure you have selected both Server Admin & Super Server Admin Check.
- Then click Save. A web browser Login/Password box will pop up, enter your new info and hit remember password then save. Kind of. We saved our new info, but there was no pop up.
- NOTE: you will also use the (User Manager) to edit your registered guests.
You can make a registered guest a Server admin or Super Server Admin without changing their password by leaving it blank
(to register a client view the client setup portion of this post. Steps 4-6 in the Client setup portion)
Setting
- Click Settings Check.
- Modify these server settings per your needs Check.
- server name Check. We used "Deliverance Black Wings".
- server welcome message Shouldn't matter, but check.
- Server Type, (clan/public) server We're a gaming clan, so clan.
- Player registration Mode No idea.
- Type of Codec's to be allowed Again, no idea. I just left them all checked.
- Save settings Check.
Neither of us can connect.
We both see the server in our "web server list", but once clicked we get the following message:
We ran through this check list, and we're pretty sure the server is online and, because we can see it on the list, we're also pretty sure teamspeak is running it.[22:34:41] Connecting to voice.teamspeak.org:8767
[22:34:44] No reply from server
Maybe the server is offline
or maybe teamspeak is not running on it
Any help you can offer would be sorely appreciated.
Thanks in advance.
Blue and Kika.

You have to foward the port UDP 8767 using your router and make and exception in your firewall for that port.

Thanks.
Now how do I do that?
;_;
EDIT:
My friend is obviously a ton smarter than me, she tried it but it didn't work.
