Specific servers won't admit me
Heya, I have been using ts for years (
) on one server. Our SG server I have no issues with connecting to. I also play with another sg, and cannot access their server. I have opened all ports, I have removed all filters on my router, and turned off my firewall. I have tried all permutations in the connection screen and I still cannot get in. Other people don't have an issue connecting. I get the "Server is offline or ts is not running on it." Any suggestions?
Thanks, Larb

I'm getting the same problem with this one specific server I cannot join but I can join others. This is from Vista, on XP Teamspeak still works fine, so I do not think it can be a router problem, but maybe something with Vista...
Tracing route to c-75-71-25-249.hsd1.co.comcast.net [75.71.25.249]
over a maximum of 30 hops:

It should never take 30 hops to get to your destination. Same as the other. There is a router about in the middle that is down.

No, actually I am hitting a correctly configured firewall. The number of hops is irrelevant. Others that live near me are able to login to this ts server. I cannot. You need to read my original post more closely.
I am using XP. Vista is still having too many problems

Not actually.
It's typical issue with servers in the internet.
See, You tracing route to c-75-71-25-249.hsd1.co.comcast.net [75.71.25.249]
and last host in that chain GE-6-2-ur01.englewood.co.denver.comcast.net [68.
86.104.25] which is supposed to be a last router before endpoint (guessed by name resolved from both IP addresses).
1 1 ms <1 ms 1 ms 192.168.1.1
2 * * * Request timed out.
3 10 ms 9 ms 8 ms ge-2-5-ur01.aurora.co.denver.comcast.net [68.86.
129.201]
4 9 ms 9 ms 9 ms te-8-3-ar01.aurora.co.denver.comcast.net [68.86.
103.37]
5 10 ms 8 ms * te-9-3-ur02.englewood.co.denver.comcast.net [68.
86.103.46]
6 10 ms 9 ms 8 ms GE-6-2-ur01.englewood.co.denver.comcast.net [68.
86.104.25]
Simple answer is that resulting server wont accept any ICMP traffic (some type of firewall).

True, so does the person have a too highly configured firewall, that is not allowing anyone to connect?
From the trace route, any one should be able to connect when it is only 7 to 8 hops away, if everything is configured correctly.
