Users Unable to connect to RC2 server
Hiya all,
I hope someone can help me on this one. I've just downloaded TS2 RC2 with the RC2 client. I've installed the RC2 server and got it working, I can connect to it fine using my external IP address, but it doesn't seem anyone else can, they just get an error about a server not running when they try and connect to my PC.
I have Windows XP with Firewall activated and I also have nortons internet secuirty 2003, I have told NIS to permit all comms for teh server_windows.exe and it doens't say it's blocking anything from it. To be safe I've disabled NIS and the winXP firewall software and people still can't connect, I've gone into services and stopped all services to do with NIS/Norton/Symantec and still people can't connect, I've don't a netstat -a and I can see that there is a prot 8767 but it doesn't say it's listening and I can't connect to port 8767 with telnet (which suggests the port isn't listening for connections, but if it wasn't how come I can connect to it? )
the people trying to connect do have RC2 client.
I'm racking my brain trying to figure out what the problem is, does anyone know of anything that could be causing it?
also I can't see the option in RC2 anymore to change the port in the server.ini, can this still be changed?
Hope someone can help, Thanks
NATO_Ozzy
PS attached is my ini file, just rename the extension

Hiya, thanks for the reply, I already tried that, I added the line as that line isn't in the new INI file, but made no different, with that port number or another

I have the same problem.... I can connect to my server but others cant.. We all have routers so I'm not sure what is the difference.. One of my friends can connect outside his router, and on his other pc (with router) he can't.. Same error messages as you mentioned above..
EVERYONE who used to connect to RC2 can't anymore.. And yes, they downloaded and upgraded to latest version.

ok figured it out!!!
In the server.ini file.. Where it says BOUND TO IP.. Just put your server IP address in there..
All better

So how do you change the server UDP port?
I put the ServerUDPPort = xxxx in the server.ini file but according to the server.log it's still trying to initialize the default UDP port: 8767

How to change TS2 RC2 server port
R. Ludwig, TS2 Developer:
"- start server
- login as superadmin to webinterface
- stop server if it runs over webinterface
- change serverudp port over serversettings with webinterface
- start server over webinterface"

did you route all three ports in your router ?
http://www.teamspeak.org/forums/show...p?threadid=866
says the following:
Which ports does the TS2 Server use?
TeamSpeak Server is using the following ports:
8767 UDP, Server
location at server.ini: ServerUDPPort=8767
14534 TCP, WebInterface
location at server.ini: HTTPServer Port=14534
51234 TCP, tcpquery port
location at server.ini: TCPQueryPort=51234
To get server to work behind firewall, nat, masq you
need only to open/forward the 8767 port.
