Mic input "warble?"
Trying to use teamspeak and when I talk the input comes through with a "warble" if you can imagine that noise. It sounds like I'm in a helicopter that is underwater. I've tried everything I can think of. I have WAVE input enabled, tried the 8bit recording. Changed every other seting I can think of. The weird part about it is that every once and a while it works flawlessly, then stops. Sometimes changing the input fixes it, sometimes doesn't. In this latest iteration nothing seems to be working. So.....help? If possible? Oh, and I've also reinstalled Teamspeak and my sound drivers.

I have the exact same issue as the above poster, the lack of responses tells me this is an unusual and most likely driver related issue.
I'm dual booting Windows XP 32 and WIndows Vista 64.
The underwater helicopter sound I input is only present in Windows Vista 64, and not constant, it starts up after the system has been on for a while and something is utlising the sound card, this can be Windows Media Player playing MP3's, or just about any game.
It started after a driver update about 8 months ago from creative, I backtraked to the older driver and the problem went away, however, after so long and so many driver updates I'm finding a lot of problems in games when using the older driver, so I'm back to the warbling sound.
Ultimately I think this is yet another Creative driver issue with Vista, they can't seem to get it right no matter how many times they release drivers.
I had this problem with the Audigy 2 ZS, and then again with the Xfi Fatality Gamer Professional.
I pay for a TS server, if I can't rectify this I'll end up flogging my Xfi Fatality and using the onboard sound, which might not be a bad thing, since Creative are probably the single laziest hardware provider on the planet, neither the Audigy 2 ZS nor the Xfi series of cards get proper 5.1 sound in Vista after numerous drivier updates, idf I want to get decent sound out of my £100 sound card I have to boot into XP 32.

I too have this same issue. I think it is partly due to drivers, at least the direct sound part is. it seems MS did away with the hardware application layey (HAL) and Creative can't seem to get it fixed. They have a program called ALchemy that does some converting to make the direct sound work. I haven't gotten it to work yet personally, and Creative is now selling it, but I'm not buying it if I can't even get the beta version working.
and in Creative's defense they are not the only ones having issue with their sound cards. ALL sound cards that use directsound are not supported yet.
although when selecting wave it should work better than it does and think driver issues here. think creative is working too hard on directsound and not working on the wave.
However, programs that use OpenAL don't have this issue as they bypass the directsound completely. I wander if Teamspeak has OpenAL support or plan on it in 3.0?
Well, I gotta run for work.

Ok, I'm back with a little more time.
I've been thinking about the ALchemy for Creative to work with Teamspeak. I see on their site http://connect.creativelabs.com/alchemy/default.aspx that they mainly support games. I see most of it is just some registry entries to get it to work with ALchemy. Maybe I can challenge a registry guru to see if they can create a registry entry for Teamspeak so it will work on ALchemy.
Here is a link to compatible games for ALchemy and it lists the registry codes that need to be entered for ALchemy to function correctly.
