Ability to play sound files
It would be great to have the ability to play sound recordings to other players within the program.
Is that possible?
I also agree with another person about giving others the right to record without granting access.
Recording is a great thing, and I love the implementation.
Getting back to playing sounds, it would be nice to play back a sound that was just recorded as well.
Example:
After recording something:
"Do you want to play the recording to the current channel now?"

(wav,mp3) I think would be sufficient

I really hope you guys consider this.
We like to play sound files in teamspeak without holding our microphone up to our speakers.

How much longer in the "long term to-do list" away is this?
I guess not 3 years down the road, right?

There is no more "long term to-do list" for TeamSpeak 2 as the developers are focusing all their developing power on TeamSpeak 3. And I don't know if such a feature is even planned for TS 3.

Yes it would be great to have that as a function.. but as for now and the near future here is a work-around that avoids the whole microphone to the speaker thing...
Actually very easy to do
1) Go to your windows volume control panel. You can get there by double clicking on the "volume" icon in your taskbar by the clock in the lower corner.
2) Click on Options > Properties > Select Recording > then hit Ok at the bottom.
3) You should see Microphone selected at the bottom in this panel. Uncheck your microphone and put a check in the panel that says "Wave Out Mix" or "Stereo Mix" which ever you see
4) Now all you have to do is when you play your sound file.. hold down your Press to talk Button.. or if you have voice activation .. before you play the file go into teamspeak preferences and lower your voice activation all the way down.
----
To change it back to your mic.. just go back to the Recording Control panel and put a check in microphone instead of the Mix, But i am running windows XP, i found that leaving it as "Wave Out Mix" when i push to talk and speak they can hear me, but i can also play a wav file and they hear that too.. but beware if you leave this on they hear all your music

There's nothing more aggravating than playing a game while in a groove, only to have someone trying to think they are a DJ killing your momentum.
