i know this has been posted before but i can't quite understand it.

how do i get my dyndns account as the server ip so i don't have to use my ip that changes when ever it feels like it.....

also explain it to me like i was a complete and total idiot!
because i am almost there

Then just use the dns name with the port number, if you are not using the default port.

At the bottom it says how to get started:
Create account
Choose name:
Point to ip: Either hardware or the client I posted earlier. <<== Step you seem to be at. A.K.A. My last post.
Use it now. (ex. ts.thejungle.us:1010 works and 69.11.176.19:1010 is the same address.) or if you use the udp port 8767 then all you have to use is just your dns name. (ex. thejungle.us )

well ty anyways you did help a little bit but not at all really you forgot to add one part the fact that i needed to add my dns to the hosts file i remembered it from another guide for something similar but different ty for your help(somewhat) lol and nice server by the way only one problem your never on i have tried to find you on it

Been busy. Got work and college exam coming up.

Host file is for if you want to test things, such as in the case of developers. To use the dns name that you configure for the the host file will have to be done for each machine's host file.

Dyndns.com will allow anyone in the world that uses that name to be able to connect to the server, without first configuring the host file.
