Unhappy The function called is not supported at this time. This value is equal to the E_NOTIM

I have run Team Speak for a very long time..I usually run the server for my Clan to connect..starting 3 days ago..out of the blue..I found others could understand me clearly..but I heard everyone choppy and skipping..
I have since reinstalled Win98SE..now TeamSpeak client won't run..everytime I try to install it I get this--(and yes..Kitten is a very Hot Chick)

Here is my info for my computor:
    DirectX 8.1
using the latest WHQL certified drivers for my soundcard, SB live 5.1-- sblw9xup.exe
Sound Blaster (Live! series) drivers update
    Revision: SBLW-9XDRV-1-US (Revision 1)
    Date: 5/5/2000 Size: 5.69 MB

    TeamSpeak version-1.5.0.6

    here is the info/error

The function called is not supported at this time. This value is equal to the E_NOTIMPL standard COM return value.

I'm wondering if it might be related to IE. After you re-installed 98SE, did you update IE to the latest?

A lot of times devs will inadvertantly use some feature provided only by an IE update, like a new dialog. (I've also seen this done with Office.) It's possible that TS has some dependency on a recent version of IE.

The reason I ask is that the error message mentions COM, which is used by programs to talk to DLL's written by others. (There's also DCOM, distributed COM, which can be used to talk to DLL's on other machines.) COM is the normal way to talk to IE and Office components.

Can you check the server log when this happens? The server log has timestamps on each line. Note what time this happens, then later look at the server logs at that time and see if it shows anything interesting.
