Text Chat Suggestion

First, I just became aware of TS and setup a clan server for my racing league. Very nice and reliable program. One thing I would like to see modified is the way text chat works. As is, only Admins seem able to enter text messages, and it requires mouse activation to accomplish. Would it be possible to instead place a single line text entry field beneath the text window where you could simply enter your text and hit ENTER to send, and also have this available to ALL members? You could place the text color button at the beginning of the text entry line. It seems this would be less cumbersom than the current right-click/type sequence, and would eliminate the number one complaint from my users: "Why can't I type?"

have you tried our ts2 rc2 client + server ?
You can set that everyone can chat there

I think most people are looking for the ability to double click on a users name to open up a private text chat with someone in the channel, or server they are on.

This proves to be good for sending html links to, as well as private notes you do not wish to say over TS

I had not installed the RC2 version yet but I will do it this weekend and try it out. Thank you for your reply.

because i hate switching to irc... yeah the whole menu setup to much work for lazy ppl. (its a mind thing actually looking at menus is to hard work

I like the text message in RC2. However I would like to have it play a sound in the next patch so you can realize someone is messaging you

Also make it that if you select the text and click right that you can hit copy text etc. Now you get server info things. (I know you can do Ctrl + c etc)
