So i don't need to install any additional files?
Just unpack the latest beta and start the server?

Yes and (maybe) the updated Linux Binary (found on the download page).. Info about it

But I maybe see other problems poking around; you’re sure that your provider/host can give you the service needed to host TeamSpeak (or other)? Most provider/host is not very keen on opening additional tcp ports for incoming traffic. But if your one do... cool..

hmmm... and make sure that your linux base is ON!! that was my problem... if it isn't on, it gives errors with ELF...

    still no go

I am running FREEBSD 4.11. I did the "HOWTO" so to speak, although I didn't get the updated (now ancient) server_linux filie.

I did the "brandelf -t Linux server_linux" and the server still gives out the errors. It can range from just an hour to two days before the "error 105" happens.

    douche@nac:/usr/ports/emulators# uname -a

Sorry to hear that you all got problems with the 4.11 ver. It was the most stable ver. with Teamspeak, that I ever run (b4 I installed the 6.0 ver.)..

It works perfectly on FreeBSD 6.0 if you install it from ports. You dont even need linux compat installed.

running FreeBSD 6.1-PRERELEASE and ts2_server_rc2_20201 (from the ports tree)

I have been running Teamspeak on win2003 server with out problems before, but have convertet the maskine to FreeBSD.

This is the issue I'm having:

I run the script, which returns the following:

    xcXEON@firebox:/home/xeon/tss2_rc2>./teamspeak2-server_startscript start
./teamspeak2-server_startscript: line 1: seq: command not found!
    starting the teamspeak2 server
    Error starting daemon. Aborted

    Then upon grepping for the process, I see this, and after running the start script only ONCE I might add;

    xcXEON@firebox:/home/xeon/tss2_rc2>ps ax | grep linux
    1911 p0 I 0:01.33 ./server_linux -PID=tsserver2.pid
    1912 p0 S 0:00.02 ./server_linux -PID=tsserver2.pid
    1913 p0 S 0:00.77 ./server_linux -PID=tsserver2.pid
    1914 p0 S 0:00.81 ./server_linux -PID=tsserver2.pid
    1915 p0 S 0:00.14 ./server_linux -PID=tsserver2.pid
    1916 p0 S 0:00.03 ./server_linux -PID=tsserver2.pid
    2004 p0 I 0:01.41 ./server_linux -PID=tsserver2.pid
    2005 p0 S 0:00.01 ./server_linux -PID=tsserver2.pid
    2008 p0 S 0:00.02 ./server_linux -PID=tsserver2.pid
    2033 p0 S+ 0:00.01 grep linux

The output of server.log is this:

    xcXEON@firebox:/home/xeon/tss2_rc2>cat server.log

This happens with the install from the website, or the port.

You need to load the Linux binary compatability layer.

    run: kldload linux
