Under 4.7 u wont without bring in the changes from 4.8 and then thats not 4.7 is 4.8 :P. It looked like a kernel issue when I looked, but didnt dig any deaper as it worked on 4.8. Might have to go back and diff the changes between 5.0 and 5.1 for the linux kernel module to find out whats broken it in 5.1 but thats a different error.

    Unhappy OK I give up..

I'm switching back to RC1 and I'm going to use RC2 as soon as I will have some time to upgrade to 4.8 (who knows maybe some new TS release will be working with my 4.7 too...).

Unable to TeamSpeak Client to work

    Hello,

I was able to get TS server to work without any problems, but the client gives me an error in loading libraries. Below is an example of what I get:

./TeamSpeak.bin: error in loading shared libraries: ./TeamSpeak.bin: undefined symbol: initPAnsiStrings

I've tried to solve it with the following steps
    1. Edit the TeamSpeak file to deifne the path. I was told to do this in the readme file that came with the RC2 version.
    2. Added the path to my /compat/linux/etc/ld.so.conf file.
    3. Copied the library to /usr/X11R6/lib and /compat/linux/lib

The above is when I try to do a manual installation. I get the same error when I run setup.sh.

I tried to install the RC1 port and see if I could get an idea of how that is setup but I got the same error.

I'm using FreeBSD 4.8 and linux compatability is on. The TS server is running on my router, and I'm trying to install the client onto my workstation.

Afraid I've run out of ideas. Any help would be appreciated.

Hi, i'm trying to make freebsd teamspeak server. I ve done it under windows. I cant find out how to do it in freebsd.

    I've done everything before:

    7. Run:
    a) sh tss.minimal_startscript start
[ If you still have unaddressed errors try to find the answer on these forums. ]

    now i get error message:
    Runtime error 0 at BFBFFA00
    Segmentation fault (core dumped)

Do you know what does it mean?? I have Freebsd 4.8 and ts2_server_rc2_201940.

In a plot there was this address:
    ftp://voice.teamspeak.org/developer/server/

i couldnt get there so i replaced it with:
    ftp://ftp.teamspeak.org/developer/server/
and i found there this file:
    b41_server_linux
Can I use it instead b22_server_linux??

Thanx for any replies and hints

FreeBSD Teamspeak server and client ports.

I have made a 'port' for TS client and server, if you cvsup your ports tree on a FreeBSD box (see http://www.freebsd.org/doc/en_US.ISO...rts-using.html) you can find the ports in /usr/ports/audio/teamspeak_client and /usr/ports/audio/teamspeak_server.

You can build these by cd'ing into the given directory and doing..
    make install clean

    as root.

I was reading my original post and saw some abiguity.

I was also trying to say that I have tried the RC1 and RC2 ports for the client. They both give me the same error message.

i've succesfully installed ts server from ports but i cant administrative it. When I connect to the server via webbroser, I cant change options... When I try to connect it says that server is full. Maybe it is because of installation of SQL. I ve installed both sqlite and sql server...

You need to cvsup your ports tree. There TS-Server port is only a few days old and only just yesterday, there was a critical patch made to the port.

You can find instructions on how to do this here.

Im was looking in packages on the main UK mirror:
    ftp://ftp.uk.freebsd.org/pub/FreeBSD...current/audio/
Or has it not got that far yet ( only in CVS ports ) ?

My main interest is how did you solve the issue of server on 5.1 which in its default form doesnt work?

You don't need any version SQL. The TS Server program includes what it needs.

Does the web console allow you to login, and just not change any settings? How are you connecting to it? Are you making the mistake of trying to access the web admin files via an outside web server? Apache?

Yes, I can login but I cant change anything. It says that changes were saved but it is same as before. Im connecting that into IE adress bar i write http://server:'port_number'

I cant access admin files via any other web server.

I've erased teamspeak from rc.d because it caused restart of the computer... strange... so I dont have it there i can only remeber my settings but I can start it again...

Have u got ICQ or MSN messenger??

What user are you running the TeamSpeak server as? Does that user have write permission to the directory where the server_linux and other files reside?

I have close to the same situation.

    FreeBSD 5.1 Release
Just CVS'upd the port collection and installed from the port for teamspeak_server. Before I tried just the files from teamspeak.org.

I can get the server to run as any user, currently running as nobody, with file and group ownership set to that.

Clients can connect anonymously, create channels and the like.
BUT I can't connect to the admin page to do anything! Now that wouldn't be so bad, because there is TCPquery to use....BUT I can't get into that either!
I just have a server that runs, but that I can't admin.

I did get the admin page once, logged in, and then everything seemed to freeze. Restarted the server and since then, even after many uninstalls, rm -rf's and the like can't get the admin page up.

Right now I'm just trying the FreeBSD port that was created. Still have the version from teamspeak.org there, but not using it.

    I have linux_base-7.1_5 installed.

When I try telneting to the port # for the web admin or the TCPquery I get a connection refused.
I don't have a firewall for this, bare-naked to the world for testing it. I even get a connection refused using lynx on the box itself and trying that port, or telneting to localhost on that port.
I know I can cause when the page seemed to freeze earlier I did telnet to the web admin port, got the standard web server prompt, and then tried GET / to see what happened....nothing it just sat there so I killed it off.

    Any ideas???
