usb headset wont play computer sounds
hey guys,
i currently use a usb headset microphone
c-media usb headset
up until around 2 weeks ago i was able to use my microphone on teamspeak with no problems. I went to use it the other day, i plugged it in and it wouldnt work, so, i checked the setting and it was all ok. I couldn't figure out what the problem was. I changed the driver setting to my headset. I can now use it with teamspeak and talk to friends and i can hear them but i cannot set it up so my music will play through my headset at the same time. Before 2 weeks ago i COULD do this. I am unsure as to what the problem is as my friend has the exact same set up as me and his still works fine. He has the same headset also. Can you guys help or should i just go buy a line-in microphone?
i will post any system specs you guys need. I don't know how to find out my sound card if you guys would let me know how to do that also.
thanks,

I asked because on vista you can set it as default.
The problem is that usb headsets mainly take control automatically. Have you tried a different usb port so that it will try to "install the hardware" once again?

Tricks learned from having to try to troubleshoot for my work.
*I do not work for the TS company. Just where I work they come out with new builds and these updates affect over 400 pc's. So do not ask about TS3.
