TS Server not responding
I have a Static and router ip. When I boot to the STatic IP I cannot connect to our clan server. Frome the other IP I connect fine. From my Static Ip I connect fine to ANY other server just not our Clan Server. They tell me no IP's are currently banned. What else could be the problem!?

Oh ok. Sorry I didn't know what that meant. Thanks for the info. You have more than one IP also?

yes, I host a server for my Tribes2 clan, I had the server hosted on this PC, But wanted to move it to my Laptop So I could shut this one down.
Everyone in my clan can connect to the laptop server but one guy.
He say's it is telling him No Response from server / Server not running.
But if I put the server up on this PC he can connect.
The only difference is the IP's???
And I don't understand why everyone but him can connect?
I run NO firewall.

Thx for the info
I will pass it along to our webmaster and see what he thinks. If the problems are related it may help! I will let you know if I find out anything! Thanks again. We had a similar problem. We used to have two modems for our website/server and one crapped out. The other one is now performing the work of two. It very well may be a IP address problem but I am not that network savy. Hopefulyy with enough info we will figure it out. Just the fact that you changed IP's may have shed some light, we'll see!

Firewall
I don't either, but I am the one trying to connect. Can you tell me alittle about his connection? Is he using a router? Can he connect to other servers Ok? What type of connection does he have, and what do you have? Maybe between us we can figure it out.

Well, I had AT&T but Comcast took over.
I have two IP's.
All I know about him is he is running Windows98, I Run XP Pro.
If I host my server on this PC he CAN connect.
If I host it on the other PC, Well Laptop, He cannot connect.
But what gets me is everyone else can connect to both servers?

Problem SOlved!
Exactly! I can connect to others but not our clan server! Everyone else has NO problem. I am also running W98se so that may have something to do with it however my problem has been solved. I don't know how he did it but it works fine now. Instead of entering the IP in the Address box I put in the domain name i.e.
tspeak.ourwebpage.org and I can connect fine. I tried that before but not with the current address and it didn't work. So it must be some other settings changed as well as the name of the address. I will contact our webmaster, actually already have, and ask him exactly what he did and let you know when I hear back.

Here's how...
He tells me he created a DNS that points to the server. I am not reall clear about this so it's probably best if you shoot him an email. He can explain it to you better but basically we are both behind routers. Our routers were contacting each other and not getting a reply. He said something about creating a new DNS and that's the address I put in instead of the IP. So when my router looks at his router it looks at it as a webpage? Am I making any sense? Contact me by email and I will get you his email and he can explain it to you better than I. But I am guessing your PC and Laptop are connected to a router?
