Hi all,

I am unable to edit my sound device settings. I have been using TS for over a year now and love it, but, it has now gone wrong and I can't seem to fix it.

I have recently updated my soundcard (Creative Sound Blaster X-Fi Extreme Music) with the latest drivers so that I could play Civ 4 (woo hoo!).

However, I now cannot seem to talk on TS. I can log in perfectly fine with no problems and can adjust all log in settings as I see fit, but when logged in I cannot talk (although I can hear). When I go into the settings to change this I can move freely between the 4 tabs and even change the settings on them. I can also apply any changes on three of the tabs to no ill effect. But after making any changes to the Sound Device tab, and clicking apply, it hangs. It often affects programs running in the background too (Firefox for example), but not always.

I cannot close it by any means and need to restart the computer.

I have updated my motherboard sound drivers, just in case that was the issue, and I have used the MSN phonecall/chat thing, just to test the talking/mic/hearing facilities and they are all fine.
I have reinstalled TS in multiple directories but to no avail.

I have not been able to get a complete eradication of TS off my system though. Everytime I reinstall TS it remembers all my settings. After one deletion I successfully deleted 2 registry files that TS left behind, but upon fresh installation, the previous settings were still there.

I think if I was allowed to input fresh settings I may be able to change my settings, but I cannot tell as I am never given a completely new installation.

Any help on this would be very much appreciated, I love TS and would wish to continue using it.

Thanks in advance,

Body.
