[Help] Why Internet ip doesnt shows up?
Im using my PC as Teamspeak Server for a Portuguese Gaming Community called MyGames (Portal MMO) (http://mmo.mygames.pt). Everything was Ok until this morning, i realized that Teamspeak Server IPs only appear the Local IP and the External IP (Internet IP) doesnt show up, why? What happened? I didnt disconfig anything everything is like it was before... any problem with software ? Im using NO-IP to make Static IP (i got dynamic ip) .Anyone knows why this is happening?

Hello,
I'm having exactly the same problem with my Teamspeak Server ! It doesn't show my public IP anymore, so I have to use a "what is my ip" service to get it.
All this happened since I installed VMWare Server. It added virtual network connections in the Windows' network list and in the TS "Your IP's" menu, but the public IP mysteriously disappeared.
Uninstalling VMWare didn't change anything, except removing the virtual connections... No more public IP
I don't think Windows is involved in all this, because the same thing happened on my Vista notebook...
As I said before, using a website telling me what my public IP is does the job, and my mates can connect just like before, but that's really bothering.
I tried to uninstall/reinstall TS Server, same thing...
I'm sorry not to give you the solution, but I hope this help.
(and sorry for my English, not my language
)

my favorite is dyndns.com
there are also some pages that show the online ip to you; for example http://ipcheck.teamspeak-einstieg.de/?mode=simple

The fact that the TS server no longer detects the global IP is a "problem" on our end, we shut down that service. Since there are many other ways for you to find out what your global IP is I trust that you will manage without. Sorry
You think my answer is stupid ? Read This:

Hi, I have the same problem, and I don't understand why you disabled that option, it was very useful. Now when I'm entering my IP in the server.ini, and then launching the server.exe I'm having these errors
:
All was fine when TS Server was detecting my external ip, and now I got this bulls***t. And NO, I'm not using any Firewall, not even on my router, they're all disabled and I still got this message...04-11-08 14:04:42,ALL,Info,server, Server init initialized
04-11-08 14:04:42,ALL,Info,server, Server version: 2.0.23.19 Win32

04-11-08 14:04:43,ERROR,All,SERVER, VirtualServer startup failed with port 8767, Exception: EIdSocketError.Socket Error # 10049
Cannot assign requested address.
04-11-08 14:04:45,ERROR,All,WEBINTERFACE, WebInterface startup failed with port 14534, Exception:Socket Error # 10049
Cannot assign requested address.
04-11-08 14:04:45,ERROR,All,TCPQUERY, TCPQuery startup failed with port 51234, Exception: Socket Error # 10049
Cannot assign requested address.
04-11-08 14:04:45,ALL,Info,server, Server init finished
04-11-08 14:04:48,ERROR,All,frmMain, unable to detect external ip
What should I do ? All was fine with IP autodetection, bring it back please !

you need not to enter the ip into the server.ini. just leave the option blank.

You will need to give them your external IP. The feature of the teamspeak server to
display your external IP was a convenience thing only, so that you could see what your external IP was within the application, but you can always go and determine your external IP without the help of the teamspeak server.
Just go to maxi1990's link for example, that will display your external IP to you, then you can give that out to your friends. There are many other ways to determine your external IP, but I guess one way is enough for you.You think my answer is stupid ? Read This:

I thought I needed to set my external IP in the server.ini, in fact I don't have to do it. And it works fine as before with no-ip tool for dns.
Sorry for my post, it was gay ^^

so when using DynDNS the clients connect to the url? if so, I tried that and still get
[10:47:00] No reply from server
Maybe the server is offline
or maybe teamspeak is not running on it
I can see the server i just made in the webserver list. still cant connect.
Why in the world did TS take a product an average joe like me could use without problem and turn it into a head ache? its getting VERY frustrating.
