disable all the extra creative bs features and you will be fine. check for hear what i say or something along those lines also check your windows mixer settings under recording and check mic settings. while i hate that card its not the card at fault its the default settings you need to change

This is gonna sound strange so let me explain. I have a sound blaster Live but it may work for you too.
TS was working great for me on a new host and then suddenly I couldn't be heard by anyone. I tried the loopback and nothing. I tried sound recorder and nothing. I could hear my voice in the speakers. I restored my system and it worked again. So I started testing.
I ran a program called WinProducer which I ran when the poroblem occured. I heard the voifce sound change slightly and then all sound recording programs didn't work again. I thought that was funny as I had used it before and no problems. So then I ran Roger Wilco, made a server and then turned it off and it fixed the problem which was the program I used before I switched to Team Speak which is why I hadn't noticed the problem before.
It must set some settings somewhere. Its worth a shot unless someone knows why that works.
PS: I deleted the WinProducer program but your problem sounds the same.

Ive got SB audigy and i think the problem ur having is that the creative surround sound mixer (or equivalent software) is set by default to record/transmit through line-in or other device. Open the mixer and make sure that the sound recording device is set to mic and also that it isnt muted.
If like me u have lots of different audio programs, any one of them can cause a similar problem.
I have found that when certain audio programs are run the mixer will default back to line-in or mute the mic, so i allways check it if my TS goes up the swanney :P
Also if ur mic volume is low run the adio setup wizzard, it can also help (but i bet u knew that

ohja, the awefull "What you hear" feature of Creative..

also there is a bug with Microsofts DirectX and Creative's audigy... You might have to set the Sound Hardware acceleration to low... (using dxdiag.exe)

Hey Barking, you hit the nail on the head with the "what you hear" Moved it to the mic key and whala problems solved.
Only thing is team mates said i sounded like i was in the bottom of a tunnel. Reverb and echo's.
Thanks For the help Barking_Mad
