Passes all tests, but still cant connect
Ok here is my problem. I have 2 pcs, both connected through a modem router combo. 1 pc has the server running, the other has the client running.
When I run the test on http://ts2test.planetteamspeak.com, it comes back with all checkmarks.
When I open the client and select webserverlist, My server is listed.
However when i try to connect to it, it simply states:
[19:49:39] Connecting to gankserver.servegame.com:8767
[19:49:43] No reply from server
Maybe the server is offline
or maybe teamspeak is not running on it
What could be the issue?
Also note, gankserver.servegame.com is linked to my noip.com account. It simply just updates my dynamic ip without having to manually type it in. I have tried to use the IP directly, and I still get the same error, so thats not it.
Thoughts or suggestions?
UPDATE 1: Please also note that when I select "my IPS" from the selection menu, it only has the internal one listed (192.168.). Cpuld this be the issue, and if so how do I fix it.Last edited by AcridGosling; 19-11-2008 at 01:12.

Use the LAN IP not the wan IP.
On your router if you can find it there is a setting called Net redirect filter. Disable it, then you can use your WAN ip or dns name.

I have nothing listed like that in any of my menus. I could configure remote setup if you wanted to take alook. I use a program called teamviewer, it is a free download. Just a thought.

I have used teamviewer many of times. Help a lot of people on biker forums fix their pc that I help run. Amazing what they get into.
Just send me a pm if you want me to connect. I hate doing this because I do not like people thinking that they can just trust anyone. I know that I will not do anything nor do I care to do anything, just that there are a lot of people that can mess with people over the internet.
I would rather look at it than someone else look at it and mess your configuration.
What model of modem/router do you have? I might be able to find it online than to have to connect.

LMAO, ROFL!!!!!
I appreciate the offer, thank you.
However, I do not know if it was the underlying problem, but my router has now decided to fry itself (yes smoke and all), it set off the fire alarm.
I have never had a piece of equipment do that!
Anyway, seeing as I do not have another router at the moment, I guess I will have to wait, and fix it later.
Thank You again.

That is ironic. Pretty funny. Sorry about the router but pretty funny.
Good thing I was not connected. I would have been blamed.
