Cannot connect to any TS server in my network
Hello everyone,
I have a big problem with my Teamspeak 2 RC2 in my network. I can connect to any teamspeak server from any other network, therefore I do not believe that it is my firewall settings, and I only use the Windows Firewall anyways. I am using Windows Vista Basic. I have tried it in the Debug mode and it still does not work. Below you will find my log. A further problem. I cannot enter the router because I live in a kind of student place. The administrator is not reachable or even unknown. Please help me find a solution
Here is the error in words [19:24:26] No reply from server
Maybe the server is offline
or maybe TeamSpeak is not running on it.

well usually online games using TCP so you dont gonna notice it there.
but when as few people near me you would wanna use TeamSpeak or other apps, which uses UDP for good reasons you are stuck and you cant.
well the only thing for this problem could be if the TS server you wanna use
have also VPN access and you can use that way around :]....
I use that when I am in my current shitty college.... when I got lessons that day :]

Hey,
Sorry I was on Holiday over the weekend ^^. This sounds very good with using VPN. But the thing is: how can I connect through VPN? Thanks for your response so far.
Best regards

well best would be if you got access(OS admin or user) to that TeamSpeak server or you do know someone who does. because best will be to have create VPN server at that place as well.
try wandering around openVPN.net there is free solution vpn I use for example. its OS independent. there is also few config examples etc.
if you wanna I can create configs for you. but it rly isn't so hard.
you could also use someone else as middle man; best of course if u have enought trust in that network and admins there. then you would propably like to set some portforwards in there if you dont wanna pass all yours traffic via VPN(which is possible) and use his internet connection(for all traffic) as unwanted effect.
as for configuration that depends on you but as long as your ISP at place where you are experiencing problems propably blocks UDP use TCP based VPN. as for crypt and compress there you can use either none or define it. depends on you the difference isn't so big(so far I know).
feel free to PM me
