    Redhat 8 runtime error with RC2 version

    Can see that a lot of pll have probs with RC2 but no strait answer to the problem !

    Have Redhat 8, installed ts2_server_rc2_201916
    RC1 worked fine
    RC2 makes a runtime error but starts --but not ??
    the ldd seems OK !

    $ ./server_linux
    Runtime error 231 at 08058CF1
    Error starting daemon. Aborted
    $ Runtime error 221 at 0804E248

    $ ps -a
    PID TTY TIME CMD
    10382 pts/1 00:00:04 server_linux
    10383 pts/1 00:00:00 server_linux <defunct>
    10386 pts/1 00:00:00 ps

    If I try to connect to the webadmin on port 14534 I get the login pic but I can't login with the admin password in the log file

    so thumbs down for this :-(
    any clues

    Stop all instances of TS (do a ps -ax then kill all instances), then restart it. You will find all will work now.

    Now if you could only solve my problem with Channel Admins having permissions to create subchannels but getting permission denied when attempting i'd kiss you.

    I posted about this already but no one responded

    Well, I just tested, and it all works on my TS.

    How do you run it?

    I created a user specifically to run TS -> tss (following will need to be changed as per you set-up).

    Then chown all the tss directory (when you are one level up):

    #> chown -R tss.tss tss2_rc2/

    Then chmod:

    #> chmod -R 755 tss2_rc2/

    Then change to user:

    #> su - tss

    Then navigate to tss2_rc2 directory and start server.

    ?

    okay killed all processes
    removed all the files thats generated when running server_linux first time, so now I have a clean start.

    I run server_linux and get this mesg:
    $ ./server_linux
    Error starting daemon. Aborted
    $

    a ps -ax now gives me this:
    10564 pts/0 SN 0:07 ./server_linux

    the log files tells me this:

    i had the same problem, so i killed all threads of ts2_rs2, then started it again with ./server_linux

    so the server started with an error, but he's working - just one problem is left....

    in the server.log file is no admin password - so i cant configure my server

    any idea?

    ts2, RedHat 9
