    Very tricky scenario...

Alright, just built my server today. First thing I did was set up the static IP, then forwarded all the ports for the Teamspeak server. Now, there is just one slight problem I'm encountering. Friends can connect to the server and I can easily connect to the server if I'm on another network. However, when I'm on the same network as the server from a different computer, I cannot connect to the Teamspeak server.

Not sure what's going on with it, but if someone has come accross this issue in the past, please share your final results. Thanks...

    silly,
your probably using the WAN IP, which people use out there to get on

    you need to use LAN

    such as 192.168.1.XX

find out that number by right clicking the server down by the time and stuff, roll over "your ip" and look for the one showing a lil pc, thats your lan ip, use that when ever you use it within you network, clicking it makes you copy that number, paste where you like

You so called that... what's more silly is the fact that I've done all the hard and sloppy work but didn't think of trying that....

However, a buddy of mine runs his server on the same system he games on and uses the external IP to connect, as I would. Maybe that's because it's on the same PC? Anyways, I appreciate it..

That's probably because your friend have different connection scheme than your home network has.

    indeed

what about trying to look at status of yours network card when you are in same network{ip address from there = LAN IP it should be usually starting with 192.168. }?? and what LAN IP does the teamspeak server have?
you have set portforwards yourself didnt you ?? or you have very similiar scheme as your friend and the pc where you have TeamSpeak server does share internet connection for others??
if that is the case then use the gateway IP from yours network card status.
