Very wierd mic issue
I have quite a problem with my TS, or microphone in general perhaps.
Im using a headset with a microphone, push to talk and it seems as if I for example listen to music, or have game sounds on and press my push to talk key in TS, everyone in the chanell will hear the background sound going on in my headset.
I could have understood this is i where using any kind of speakers, but i dont. Any ideas how i can set it so that people will only hear my voice going trough the microphone and not what is played in my headphones?
Any help to this would be greatly appreciated.

It's called 'Wave out Mix' or 'What You Hear'
Windows XP
Start > Control panel > Sound and audio devices > Volume (tab) > Advanced ( the one under device volume) > Options ( On the new window )> properties > recording (make sure microphone is selected) > hit okay > Check the box under microphone.

So I should just check the box under mic volume and mute it?

That is odd. I feel like i'm looking at the playback instead of recording. Mute everything but the microphone ( and the mute all button ). See if that works.

It seems like I can't, everything in there is greyed out apart from the mute all button.
EDIT: Managed to check the boxes even if they were greyed out. But it had no effect on the problem :/Last edited by Mimer; 04-07-2009 at 20:08.

What about your sound panel with that came with the soundcard (or onboard sond). SoundMax perhaps? Here is what mine looks like:

Can you select mic in there? And just for future reference, is it a USB headset?Last edited by ZeroTKA; 13-03-2010 at 20:00.

uncheck mute all.
let the rest be muted expect mic.
try it.(so in other words mic and mute all is unchecked ; rest{CD,Line,Stereo} is checked)
take a look in TeamSpeak Settings > Options > input/output devices. Change them if you can(to one wich represents you sound HW card name). Do this mainly for input.
if it doesnt work try look for check in menu Options for a Properties or More settings and that should enable a buttons below controls.
mainly there should be button below mic. when you click on it you can then activate mic boost or deactivate....
