Teamspeak Crashing on Startup

Hey folks,

Just posting this thread in aid of a friend who cannot do with TS in his gaming ^^.

Hes on Vista and recently started using a new router, which is when this happened. The problem is that he cannot get TS to even open anymore.
The error he tells me that appears is. "No Soundcard detected for this device" (with a fat X). Now he has sound in everywhere else, in his games, his movies etc. I even got him to test his mic etc actually worked. I got him to try soundrecorder to record his voice, that worked. So ive come to the conclusion that it is a primarily a TS problem. I read somewhere that it has something to do with the WorkGroup name changing? :S cant see why that is related. Ok so in all does anyone have any idea how the new router etc could have anything to do with that error? :S It makes my head hurt. We have tried uninstalling and re installing in a new place as i thought it may be a registery problem/ corruption. Still no go. Any help would be really appreciated.

Make sure you have the latest drivers.
On board sound card or an actual sound card?
Under the device manager ( right click on my computer > properties > Hardware (Tab)> Device manager ) does the sound look okay ( no exclamation points or anything?)

I don't think you're router has anything to do with it. You could always have your friend put the old router back in to see if it is but i wouldn't think it's related--just a coincidence.
