Teamspeak 3 Server Ports

Does anyone know what the TS3 Default Server Ports will be, ex, TCP, UDP, are they still 51234 & 14534?

The default server port (udp) is 9987; but you will be able to set another port as default.

There won't be a web admin port as everything can be done with the serverquery.

UDP Port 9987 inbound

Will server owners be able to modify the ServerQuery and file transfer ports?

If the file transfer port isn't open, will the server still function without the file transfer functionality?

Does the ServerQuery port need to be open to administrate the server from the TS3 client?

Ive been having a couple headaches with this

Ive got TS3 server running on a spare pc on the network

if i do local ip on my machine , it works fine

i tried setting the 3 ports 9987 / 10011 / 30033

i then tried connecting using my public ip

it doesnt work

BUT , if i put the server computer in the DMZ

i can connect to it

ive done port tests via friends and cant connect with just port forwarding

it only seems to work if i put it in the dmz .....

any ideas ?

it now no longer works with the dmz

ive tried checknig the ports

port 10011 works fine

port 30033 works fine

port 9987 doesnt =[

theres no firewall blocking it

and as ive said , both port forwarding and using the DMZ dont work

im running out of idears

I have exactly the same problem. I have a linuxbox on my lan, can connect from within the lan but not from the outside. I think i've got the port forwarding correct (i've forwarded the ports you mention).
Are there any other ports that need to be forwarded?

I have the same problems as jafinkisauras. I've forwarded all the ports (my custom 9999, 10011, and 30033 and I still can't get connections outside my network. Inside the network works fine and under VPN works too but other than that no one can connect.

I even tried with an Ubuntu Desktop 9.10 machine and no one outside the network can connect.

I've even called my ISP and they said they're not blocking anything, so this is my last option...HELP?

EDIT: MY ISP WAS BLOCKING AND PEOPLE CAN CONNECT FINE NOW. So for future reference you might have to contact your ISP.

I've the same problem and my ISP is blocking my way out. I've heard that the ISP has to open an UDP Port (whatever this is) so that I can connect to the outside. Any idea which number this Port has, that the ISP has to unblock/open for me ?

You will have to tell your ISP to open up the following ports:

UDP: 9987
TCP: 10011
TCP: 30033

Don't forget to forward them in your router as well, or put you computer in the DMZ.

If you are hosting the server on your own network you will not be able to use your Public IP to connect due to your router, you will need to use your local IP IE: 192.168.1.5 or what ever your router assigned to the machine that is hosting the TS server or the local loopback IP 127.0.0.1 if the server is being hosted from the same pc you are using the client... anyone outside your home network will be able to use your public IP.

NEVER set your computer as a DMZ host. that opens ALL ports to your machine and leaves you vulnerable to virtually every attack known
