Balance Issue with Logitech G35 and G930
Edit by mod
Before anyone reports this as a bug, please read G35 balance issue
Hello, thanks and congratulation for this very nice new TS3.
I've got a little issue with G35 headset:
I hear the others users talking only in the rigth side, while the other sounds (connexion, channel left etc) is played on the both side.
I notice that if I play a little with the 3D sound effet, I can manage to hear the talking from the both side.
This may be a conflict between logitech software's "Surround Sound" and 3D Effect.
Thanks again

Try unchecking the "Enable 3D Sound" option and try again.

I've had similar issues with my headset. With default teamspeak settings, it sounds like everyone is coming from behind and to the right of me, although all the teamspeak audio sounds fine. I've done some testing and this is what I have so far.
Program sounds fine when i'm using my 5.1 speakers without 3D sound.
Sounds fine with i'm using my g35 in surround sound.
(for those of you who don't know, the headset has a switch on the back to switch between stereo and surround sound 7.1 which is dolby emulated surround. I generally have it switched to stereo as it makes most of my games sound normal)
As soon as you switch it to stereo, it sounds like people are behind and to the right.
With 3D sound ON, and everyone centered, it still sounds like that.
If I move MYSELF slightly off center (tiny bit up, tiny bit right) it seems to sound as close to normal as it should.
The g35 is stuck as a 7.1 device, it can not be changed to stereo. My guess is the fact that the headset reads as a 7.1 device but plays in stereo has something to do with why TS3 can't figure it out properly.
Still haven't found a proper fix for the issue, but i'll keep posted with any information I find, and will keep an eye out for similar issues.

Just do what DjOli said:
Enable 3D sound, and move yourself a little bit
This is the only workaround that I found

Rick-click on the channel you're in, then "setup 3D Sound".
Check the "Enable 3D Sound" in the bottom left, then move "yourself" (ie the little green man in the middle of the grid
)

No need to activate G35 surround sound switch. Just activate the ts3 3D sound and move a little bit as explain

A friend of mine and myself have the same issue with the G35. Used the same work around as noted by Grimgold.
Justed wanted to make a note of it for the development team.

WHAAAAA?
Lol. Well, glad you've all managed to get it working, at least for now. So far the only solutions i've found are just moving you from the center with 3d sound enabled and headset set to stereo, or with 3d sound off (would probably work with on too) and the headset set to surround. I'm sure it's one of those things that's on the big list of things to do, and the devs are very busy people, so I guess we shall be patient for now. I'll keep this posted if I find anything else.

G35 und TS3 bug?
Dear modeator! If you delete Thread, please tell me why! thank you!
Because this forum is english only atm.
Hi!
I'll write this in german, because my english is to rusty!
This is my problem:
As OS is use Windows 7 (Prof/64 bit) and my client is Beta 9 , my headset Logitech G35.
On TS3 i only can here user from right side! When i switch to mode 7.1 all works fine again.
I tryed to reinstall all drivers and codec packs, but did it not help.
When i use my headset without drivers, then all works fine without 7.1 (But i need it for L4Dē! Else my Sound is so tinny).
In TS2, I can hear all voices in stereo, doesn't matter what position my switch is.
Who has the same problem and can help me?Last edited by dante696; 04-01-2010 at 15:36. Reason: Translated to english only :P

TS 3 and G35 logitech headphones
I headphones are in direct mode I only hear other TS users out of the left headphone speaker, when headphones are in surround mode I hear them fine.
All gaming sounds work great in either headphone mode. Any help would be great.
I also posted this over in the logitech forums
