    Group icons

    I'm wondering how to set up custom group icons. I understand that different numerical values point to different images, but I can't figure out where the actual images being pointed to are. I've looked around and can't find anything, so if you could give a little insight that would be great.

    If i understand right, take a look in your TS3 folder > GFX > Default

    No, I'm talking about custom set, server specific icons, that would be controlled server side via "Permissions>Group>Group icon identifier"

    This is something I want to know too. Since I have a custom perm server group with extended rights and like to set the channel admin or any other group icon for it. But it seems the only group icon for server groups are the server admin icon.

    It really is as simple as ZeroTKA suggests

    Create your icon set.

    Name them accordingly depending on what they are for.

    servergroup_###.png
    channelgroup_###.png

    Place them in the gfx/default folder

    Then set the icon identifier ### accordingly.


    Now the drawback is that you will have to distribute the icons to your userbase or they wont see them.
    But that isnt that bad a deal as you can just put it in your welcome channel file browser with instructions in channel description as to where to place them.

    Attached is a small image of a custom one I set up for my Members Server group.

    with one of the next releases this icons can be downloaded automatically from the server. thats still on our todo list.

    I like the idea of the download of the icon directly from the server. Is there any possibilities of a full design allowed to be downloaded from the server.

    Theme, Icon Pack, Style to be downloaded directly from the server ? Example your server may want to provide a default theme for all users on the server.
