Client does not retain custom server group
I created a custom server group that is somewhere between normal and admin permissions wise.
I gave one of my clan members a token for that group and he applied it. But as soon as he disconnects and reconnects he is no longer in that custom group, he is back to guest.
If I put him in the "Normal" server group, it sticks.
Any idea's what could be going on here?
Sorry, I have posted in the wrong forum as my server is running on Linux.
Please move if necessary.

server permissions dont save
first off hi and yes i used the search function. TO my Problem: if i assign a server group for somebody it only stays till he disconnects. After that they are missing on the List and if they come again they have no Server group?
Bug or wrong Setting or what?
channel group settings are saved and Serveradmin too, but the rest is not.

Hey I have a solution
I read somewhere else in this forum that you have to set the Group to be permanent.
Open your permissions>> Click the offending Group>> Drop down the Group section>> The last option is Group is permanent(or b_group_is_permanent)
Good Luck with your permissions.

I just had that problem on a windows server. I think what it is, is that the custom group you created is a "temporary" group, where as the default groups are permanent. This means that whenever they leave the server, they will leave the custom group. I think the group will even be deleted when everyone is disconnected from the server. I have no idea how to make them permanent though.

[BUG] Beta5 Group Premissions
I am not sure if this was posted or not, but I have noticed with the new Beta 5 release when I add users to a certain group they are removed from the group when the disconnect from server.
I can re-add them and they are fine until they disconnect again. They are not being saved as a member of the group.
Am I doing something wrong?

open the permissions window, go to servergroups.
Filter add "permanent"
you should sport: b_group_is_permanent or Group is permanent
add this and your problem is solved

Server Groups Problems
When i add some one to the Server Groups they have the ranking i set them to but when they quit the Teamspeak3 server they don't have the ranking when they come back only ones that keep the ranking is me as Server Admin and one guy as Normal.
I'm on beta5 so is the server.
Is this not how to add players for ranking or is there a other way?

Check that the group has "b_group_is_permanent" activated.
