Edit virtual server password via remote query
Does anyone know how you clear the server password (serveredit virtualserver_password=) via remote query?
I've tried different variations of empty quotes and empty values but nothing seems to take.
Thanks

Thanks, you're right, it does change the server password flag if it's left blank. I was looking at the virtualserver_password field which is left intact when it's cleared.

serveredit and serverinfo virtualserver_password
I have written a PHP script that retrieves serverinfo using query, and also to set it via query.
Now I have noticed the password that is retrieved is in a hash form, is this decryptable?
Or, is there a way to remove the password? (yes set it blank but it still returns a hash for a blank password)
I would like to show the password in my client panel, but need to decrypt it. Failing that I can just show something like *encrypted* to the client.
But the main thing is I dont want to show *encrypted*, when the password is blank (not set), yet a hash is returned (hence the need to decrypt or not have a hash returned for an empty password).
As a note, the hash for a blank password is different for each virtual server so I can not just filter that out either.
Any one have any ideas?
Regards,
Daniel

Hello,
serverinfo als returns "virtualserver_flag_password" which tells you if the server is password protected.
Greetings,

Ahh cool, I missed that, lol.
Thank you for your assistance!
(would still be cool to decrypt it though)

Add Server Password
Hello.
I checked the FAQ, read the server_query_manual and searched this forum, but didn`t find any useful help.
I simply want to add a password for my ts3 server.
As far i understood i tried following to add a server password:
http://12monkeys.dyndns.org/media/ts3_putty.jpg
-login serveradmin password
-use sid=1 (just 1 VM running, fresh installed TS3 server)
-serveredit virtualserver_modify_password=newserverpassword
-restart
-nothing happened/ts3 server still without password
How can i add a server password?
Help!

Just use "Edit virtual server" in your TS3 client.

Where to find "Edit virtual server" in my TS3 Client?
Another Question: How to change the Virtual Server Properties?
-ts3_serverquery_manual.pdf page 37
VIRTUAL SERVER PROPERTIES
This is a list of properties available for virtual servers:
VIRTUALSERVER_PASSWORD
Password of the virtual server
Yes
How to change these flags? Thats maybe a part of my problem.

answer a: right click with your client on the first channel
answer b:

Not the first channel, but the servername to edit the server.
@pi31415: Note, that if you set a server password all users have to enter it to connect to the server, unless you give them right "b_virtualserver_join_ignore_password".

View or edit private password on virtual TS3 server
Hi,
After checking the ts3_serverquery_manual we didn't find the option that we need. We are looking for the option to view the private password on a teamspeak 3 server.
How can we view the current private password?
Is this possible to change by sid?

Hi,
there is no way to view the server password. The server actually doesn't even know it...Only thing you can do is overwrite it with a new password (that you then know), or to use a user account with permissions allowing him to ignore the server password. You think my answer is stupid ? Read This:
