    ASIO invalid

When I try to set my capture mode to Low latency ASIO the capture device will turn red and say that it is invalid.

I'm using a sound blaster x-fi extreme music under windows 7. I have the x-fi set to audio production mode.

I want to use ASIO so that I can link teamspeak up with other audio programs.

Asio4all is not a valid option because it does not allow me to take advantage of the multi-client capabilities of the x-fi soundcard. Besides it doesn't even show up as an option in the dropdown. All you get is low latency asio. There doesn't appear to be any support for computers with multiple asio devices and so forth.

I experience this on my other machine as well. It has the asio4all drivers installed as well as an Audio 4 dj soundcard. If I select low latency asio it just gives me the whole invalid bit.

Be glad it gives you the option to select the ASIO driver. When I went to set ASIO on my X-Fi Platinum for the capture settings it crashed the client and I have not been able to get the client to restart again. It crashes every time.

ASIO is also an out of date system driver for a ASUS mobo utility.

i dont get him either, and yes that is Asio's intention.

But did the TS3 dev team put that in for its low latency? or for calaboration on x-fi cards? currently im using Asio4All on ts3 with low latency under the impression its a better choice.

    Same probleme here...
I have 2 ASIO Cards connected:

    ESI-Juli@
    ESI-U24XL

but TS3 says always invalid ....
My Cubase5 (64bit), Wavelab and even VSThost are running well with my
    2 Soundcards...

Hope the will have a look at the ASIO / VST SDK....
b.t.w VST Plugins for Teamspeak would be cool.

This problem is caused by fmod. Until they don't bring out fixes, we can't help.
Maybe it would help to send problems to fmod support.

We are exerted to write a test tool for that, but this needs time after bugfixing high prority things.
Maybe we open a thread for this with feedback.

    Hi, maybe anybody can help.
I have the vista32 client and only able to select the onboard soundcard, but this is not working because soundcard not connected external.
    My other soundscards
a.) Edirol FA101: Will be found from TS3 but when i slect system immediatly crashed.
    Error: Critical: Assertion "pos == -1" failed at client\clientui\UI_qt\setup\playbacksoundsetup.cpp :203;

b.) If i set to ASIO for the Edirol only one device will found, but the Edirol is a 10 Channel card (i see all channels in all other settings, but as said, crashed)

    c.) Tascam 32 Channel Firewire:
If i select for Direct Sound or others (except Asio) the card will be displayed as only one output (that's correct) but i'm not able to get anything out of it.

d.) If i set again to ASIO the Tascam Card should display 32 channels, but display only one. If i select i got the same crash message as written before.

Did anyone have an idea what to do? ASIO4all is no option because it captures everytime my devices.

    Thanks for help
    Peter

One more: If i check the same on the input device everything is working well. The Edirol 10 Channel card (yes this card is 10 in and 10 out at same time) works proberly as well as the Tascam card.
So the problem exisit only for playback function.

Ok, i forogt the version: 3.0.0-beta9 Build 9592

One more information, maybe it will help. How the name of the active sound device is stored in the config? If i see, it looks like that the real name is used and not the physical adress. If i check the setup for output, all Edirol devices will be named same, there is no difference to see in the number. the amount is correct (i guess it will be taken directly from the windows system) as well as the name, but there is an extension missing to make the name of sound device unique in the TS3 config. How TS3 will know only by name which is the correct sound output?

    ASIO settings

I can't seem to use my ASIO sound card in TS3. I have a Focusrite 8i6 and in the TS3 settings for capture, I only have Windows Sound and Direct Sound available to me. How do I get the ASIO settings to show up?

The card works for other programs, so I know the drivers and software that came with the card are installed properly.

    Thanks!
