[Solved] People only coming out of left headphone
So TS3 was working fine until today. Last night my sound went out on my Creative Audigy 4.1 card and so I removed the card and reverted back to my motherboards onboard AC'97 audio. When I loaded teamspeak, I changed the playback device to the correct one (since it showed the Creative entry as invalid) and now people are only coming out of my left headphone. Everything else sounds normal and I can hear out of L/R including the server announcer sounds.
Any ideas?
Seems like a bug to me.

I never enabled it?
Like I said, it was working fine before my sound card died last night.

Then either:
Your right headphone died.
Your onboard card right channel died.

-You set TeamSpeak to only using your left channel within your operating system
-You set Client 3D positioning
-something is wrong with your sounddriver
-there's a bug in TS3 which causes the bug. ONLY in this case the following may help: backup your client identity, then press Win+R -> %appdata%/TS3Client, then delete everything in it and start your ts3-client again

Same Problem
I get full stereo except when people speak. When others speak, I only hear from Right Channel.
I do not have 3D positional Audio on. However, if I turn it on, I can reposition myself to hear full stereo. But if I turn 3D off, i go back to hearing the Right Channel only.
I use win XP and tried Win+R -> %appdata%/TS3Client but get the error:
"Windows cannot find 'C:\Documents'."
I cannot find a folder for TS3 in any of the hidden "Application Data" folders. How else can I clear TS3 appdata settings in XP?Last edited by murdonna; 27-12-2009 at 04:50.

Messing around with what things? Don't roll your eyes at me. I think every single person whom I'm in TS with doesn't even have a clue what the Identies are. Why should they care? I was never aware of what this was in the first place. Besides the problem here is not because I didn't back up my identities, it's because ts3 is BETA and it's buggy.
Additionally I exported the identities to another pc and it doens't even save my admin status.. pity. Must be my fault right? lol. Such arrogant pricks around here I'm seeing.

You mentioned deleting folders and whatever else. I was advising you to slow down and make sure you know what you're doing before you're doing it.
Whether or not the masses are ignorant is no reason for you to be ignorant. Someone advised you to back up your identity before doing something, and you responded by telling them that you "deleted that entire folder" without even bothering to figure out how to backup your identity. Do you still think your response made sense?
Of course it probably has nothing to do with identifies, but future problems that you have here could very well be because you messed with things before backing your identity up. This could only serve to make a new problem without fixing the old one. I was pointing out your mistake in the hopes that you would not repeat it, and that damage would be minimal.
I wouldn't bet against problems being your fault. You don't take instructions well, so I doubt you RTM or take personal responsibility. Exporting an identity isn't too hard to find even without help, but you repeated the question multiple times here instead.
Admin status is saved on the server, by the way, not the client. Your identity on the client is used by the server to recognize you and automatically grant you the proper status.
Not that I care, but you didn't even bother thanking me for my help, but instead you lashed out, simply because I rolled my eyes and pointed out the stupidity of not listening to the instruction of backing up your identity. So who's the idiot? Certainly not me; I did what I could to help you, and I'm not even required to do it.
If your feelings were hurt, go talk to a therapist. If you want TS3 help, continue posting here. There are many people that are willing and able to help you, but you ought to get over your short temper and your hurt feelings. Otherwise, you may find that people are not as forthcoming with suggestions when dealing with someone arrogant.
I suggest you review this page: http://catb.org/~esr/faqs/smart-questions.html
I hope things improve in this topic.
