Invisible Channel
Hi guys,
I would like to request a invisible channel depending on the talkpower. If the channels should be listed by the query-tools doesn't really matter in the end. It would be a cool gimmick to not see it via query-tool, but it's not really needed. But what I need is, that ppl should not see channels that have a minimum talkpower of e.g. 120
So:
* Needed Right: b_see_channel (i don't know ^^)
* Applies to GUI and ServerQuery Tool
The right should not be a ultimate one. So you can edit a channel by console ofc when channeledit needs 75 TP, channel see needs 120 TP and yourself has 75TP.
regards,
x

The channel will not be invisible but non-admin clients will not be able to join or see who is inside.
Channel permissions
Select the channel in the left panel
Channel>Access>needed join power -> 75
Channel>Access>needed subscribe power -> 75
If you have the 100 power as the server owner and want total privacy... you can set them to 80 so that 75-level server admins cannot see_within/join either.

Invisible Channel + Invites
+1 to that idea.
I know the topic is very old and im bumping ancient things, but this is a great feature.
Big servers could use that - since there's usually w lot of channels, and when there's over 200 of them its getting hard to navigate through list for normal users. Thats when you can set that only Voiced by Channel Group can see the channel and voila - the server is now clean. At least for avarage users.
That would need a new system though, not only new permission. That would need another great feature that TEAMSPEAK3 should have for a long time.
Right click a client -> INVITE TO CHANNEL button. Would make SO MUCH interactions A LOT easier. Inviting admin to deal with issue. Inviting new friends that cant find channel in 200channel list, inviting friends that never used TS before and dont know exactly how it works.
Both of above are GREAT features and i think should be looked into.
P.S. While im on it. A right click -> move to own channel thing is a great idea too.

All of which you mentioned is already possible with the sole exception of invisible channels which were rejected before.
Invite to Channel: Click Tools -> invite Buddy then check the "Insert my current Channel" Box on the top right, copy the Text and send it to your Buddy.
Move to own Channel is also present at the bottom of the Context menu which appears when you click a nickname in the chat area. If you have the required move power the client will be in your channel after you clicked that option.
If you don't have those you really need to update your Client since both Features have been present for at least (estimated) 10 Versions...
Invite Buddy is there since June 2010, invite to own Channel is there since August 2010.
Not sure about the Move to own Channel Option, seems they neglected to mention it in the changelog but it's been around for ages too.

I thought about Poke-like system with invitation message. More convenient since a lot of people dont notice Chat Text

Aaaaaand im well aware of the "Move to own channel" option when you click client in the Chat area, I just dont see any reason why there shouldnt be the same option when you right-click a client in channel list area.
I know there are ways to make it work like that. I just feel that an application like TeamSpeak3 should make both admins and clients life easier, not based on going round the problem.
