2009-12-24 18:01:17.980601|WARNING |ChanClients | 1| Channel dbLoad time: overflow
In each case i run a server and i lose connection from it repeatedly in just a few seconds, longest i stayed
connected was 30 minutes, i host ts2 at same address different ports and it is perfectly stable.
The logs above are not sequential, i have cutted and pasted variosu log lines together just to show the array of
errors experienced.
I have no idea about system time error, this should not be a problem.
TS3 server will not run stable on my server 2003 64 dediunit.
So far i have beenthe only person to log in,there is only a default channel, the cpu and network load is non
existent.
i can tell when the problem starts, if i click my name i see the details in right side
so i click the channel name and see its details too.
then i click the servername and at 1st it appears the details quickly, but each time i click the server name
afterwards it takes longer to show the server name until eventuallly it wont show at all then i get dc and canot get
back in.
all settings are default install both client and server
I can connect to other ts3 around the world with no problem.
my dedi server is hosted in germany from company 1&1 hosting.
al the time i am having the same problem but the logs always show differetn errors and sometimes even no errors at
all 0_o
I am starting to think that even when a release cadidate comes i will still not be able to host a stable ts3 server..
Closest i can find to an error in my client is as follows something with autosubscribing

I really hope somebody from development team can look at thispost and tell me if the problemis TS3 or my server unit.
I have a large flight sim community who will all be seeking to use ts3 soon, nd if i cannot provide they will start going elsewere apart from those who will remain loyal to ts2.

Try this little utility.
Just run something like
cmdtime3.exe fartein.ifi.uio.no info.cyf-kr.edu.pl ntp.cs.strath.ac.uk
several times with about an hour interval and see if your local time drifts significantly.

Ok I am perforimg tests now..
But it seems strange that my server works fine for every program and server on the planet but now i have teamspeak 3 the server may need replacing?
Also nobody has mentioned if the random disconnections is caused by this time problem or not.
Can you shed a little light my way please.
Whilst i wait a few hours to do further time tests.

Kidding? It is seven-years-known issue that unstable time source could cause disconnects. And since it is known, they implemented a check for it in TS3.

OK well i have hosted 9 teamspeak servers for 2 years from my server and never had a dc problem, so i dont think unstable time is a problem for ts2 in my case.
But anyway after checking a few hours ago and checking now, my system clock has not drifted in the slightest, the innacuray is 00:00:00 after 4 hours.
I nio longer get errors in the server log about time being usntable, i no longer get any errors.
But I still get dc every few minutes from only my server and no others.
Only the ts3 service is having the problems.
every other service i run is fine.

and also people only know of certain problems, if they are affected by it.
I have never had a problem with ts2 or any service that was possibly caused by system time malfunction.
So no I am not kidding, these time probklems mean nothing to me because they cause NO PROBLEM for me.

like i mentioned earlier in the post, i can sense the problem approaching when i click on the server title, it shows the details in the left side right away.
Then a few minutes later i click the server title and it takes several seconds to show the data.
Eventually after clicking my name then the channel name then the server name, all display correct except the server title, i click the server title and it just keeps the channel info in the screen, then i lose connection.
Sometimes it will reconect then i can view the server data quickly again, it just gradually gets slower.
Dont get me wrong, i love TS i want it to work.
I did not anticipate having any problems like this.============

ok guys, our windows server has not been restarted in a year.
Was unwilling to try a restart myself as we have several website services and such runnign wich I would not know how to restart.
I managed to gather our website admins today and we performed a restart of our server unit.
Now we CAN run TS3 stable with no problems
, I guess we just had a chunk of fragmented ram blah blah whatever.
The software works great guys, and at 1st i was sceptical about the permission system because of how complex it looks, but now i understand the wisdom in it, it is more complex because it is so flexible.
I look forward to a web admin interface of some sort in the RC, I hope, fingers crossed.
Thank you ludwig for your offer of help.
Thank you all for your input.
Keep up the good work !

Uhm, interesting resolution.
Can you share, how you managed to get to that conclusion?

keeping time
If you are having problems with your clock being off all the time even though you are synced to auto clock update than most of the time this problem is caused by a bad cmos battery. A cmos battery is about $3 - $4 to replace. i hope this helps you.
