Win98 muted
I am in the process of getting a clan moved onto a TS server, all going well I must say and they seem to like it.
But.......
We have a guy running Win98 dx 8.1, onbourd sound card.
When he connects his user is muted and he cant unmute himself. Under windows with microphone unmuted he can hear himself. He uses via voice which works fine. but when he tests the mic with windows recorder he cant hear anything. And its the same within TS2rc2.
Also he can hear us with out problems
I have told him to go back and see if there are any updated drivers. Also he can only use wav and not direct sound.
Any other ideas.
many thanks
Gary

Updated drivers are a good point to start with.
He should also check his windows settings (control panel/multimedia) and make sure that a recording device is selected and that it is the correct one.
If the microphoe doesnt even work with windows recorder there is no chance that it will work in Teamspeak. Systemsettings need to get sorted first before you can use Teamspeak.
He should also make sure that the microphone is selected for input.
