I have had the server restarted and it hasn't fixed the problem.
It looks like there are two separate issues here - the one reported by Godko and DonkeyP relating to Linux server code when using the combination of Serverquery and the permissions window and the problem I am having.
Ludwig - Just to clarify, my problem involves the Windows version of the server (not Linux) running build 9596.
I don't know how to reproduce the problem because it does not appear to be as a result of doing anything other than upgrading the server to the current build.
Previous to that the permissions and server groups were all working perfectly well and no errors were being issued.
Since the upgrade however, although the server itself is running fine and the client permissions appear to be intact, any attempt to go into the Permissions window or to perform any actions there (whether viewing the existing groups or trying to add a new client to a group) do not work and the "database invalid constraints" error is issued in the server log.
The clients window for each server group appears to be blank as well, despite the fact that clients are still in those groups.
There are several server admins on our server and all of them are experiencing the same thing.Last edited by Quercus; 03-01-2010 at 13:31.

I don't know I'm not the server owner. Is there any way to check from within the virtual server or using the serverquery commands?

There isn't, this will be something you'd have to ask the server owner.

I run TS off of my home puter and since updating I'm having issues with the server jus randomly shutting down. The window for the server stays open but it's like it just stops.

On the older versions, I was able to create a "registered" channel group in which I set the permission "Login without password"
I just updated to beta 13 / 9 and now that option does not work. In fact the whole system of channel groups seems a bit busted. If I add permissions to the default server group then they apply to the client but if i make a client a member of a channel group that augments permissions, then the channel group permissions do not seem to apply.
Right now I am have stripped down the server group guest permissions to stop unregistered people from moving around on the server (restrict them to lobby) then have to open the server group window and drag them to a modified "normal" users group so that they can log on without password and move around (we change pw on server regularly for guests on our fleet ops).
I need to be able to either a) have channel groups over ride server group permissions or b) be able to right click on someone and add them to a server group to stream line the process.
While I am at it, can we not get a tag at the end of peoples names if they are in default group? I can not see the difference between people assigned to server groups vs people that are guests unless I physically click on each one.

I have a similar issue, i have server beta12 and client beta9, when i go in the "Server Group" permission menu, after just 1 or 2 click (even if don't change permissions) all the groups on the left disappears after 10/15 seconds and the server crash. I'm forced to restart the entire server.
EDIT: reinstalling the server fixed the problem...Last edited by Arsenico; 04-01-2010 at 12:30.
