Users don't stay in assigned server groups?

I couldn't find the answer to this anywhere in the forum so if it does exist, I just missed it.

What I want to know is how Server Groups work.

If I add a user to one of the server groups that are there from the beginning (server admin, normal, guest) they are still in there when they logged of and in again.

The problem is that I need more groups than that so I created a special group for leaders, planners, etc. But when I add users to those groups they only stay in them during the time they are online.

How do I make a server group that keeps the users I add to it even if the user log off? I need them to be assigned to these groups since I'm not always online to reassign them. And without these groups they can't enter the channels specially created for them.

I'm at a loss here but I guess it has something to do with "permanent_group"-something something?

Oh. The same goes for Channel groups. How does it work with users signing out/in?
