    x32 vs x64 Im running 32 on 64 oops?

    My questions:
    1. Can running 32 instead of 64 on a 64bit server cause high cpu usage for clients?
    2. Can I transfer my 32 version database to a 64version server?

    Info:
I could have sworn my server has win2003 32bit but when I just ran my properties I noticed my server runs under win2003 server x64. So yes please answer the 2 questions above, this is my server info:
    Windows Server 2003 R2
    Enterprise x64 edition
    Service Pack 2
    Quad (Q6600 2,4GHz)
    8GB DDR

It has been up since the day TS was launched and Ive updated it from beta1 up to 12 in steps. Now certain people have been complaining about high CPU usage from ts3 (about 25-35%cpu on quadcores and up to 90%cpu on single cores).
Therefore Im wondering if this could be caused by my 32bit version on my 64 server. Also I'd like to know if there could be other consequences for running the wrong version? And if perhaps it is possible to switch from 32 to 64 keeping my database?

    Thanks.

After 35views still no reply? Perhaps the teamspeak team has a solution/ answer for this problem?

    1. Maybe, but if it does then it is a bug (might be related to win2k3 x64). You can test it by first running the x86 server and then the x64.
A clean install of TS3 server, might also do the trick.
    2. Yes - Database format doesn't change just because the server can handle more bits per threat.

32 bit can always run on 64. 64 cannot run on 32

The thing is I dont want to do a clean install as I have several servers running which have edited membergroups and permissions.

Also thanks Pill, and for Jim, I am the host lol.

Im still hoping a TS admin can confirm that running 32 on 64 can not cause lag for clients..?
