People can reconnect to server after closing client
Ok I'm not sure if this is on my end or not but i have no problem connecting on the same pc the server is running no matter how many times i shut down the client, But my friends will connect then leave and cant connect again. I'm hoping someone has a solution to this as I host our Guilds ts2 server and want to get ts3 up and running for the lower latency and higher voice quality.
Please pay no attention to my blatant typo in the title :PLast edited by THEEwhiteboy; 13-01-2010 at 08:19.

I'm having the same problem with my TS3 server. If they log out and then log back in again it works fine and let's them in. The problem (for me at least) comes when no one's been in the server for awhile (say, overnight) and even though it's still running on my computer, it won't let anyone connect to it, acting like it's not online (even though it is). If I shut it down and restart it, it works fine again, but I'm not always there to do that when other people want to use it. Are there any known bugs or any suggestions for me?

that was the last log......even if i dont add him as a server admin he still cant reconnect after closing the client. If he disconnects and reconnects without closing his client there is no problem. If i restart my PC and put up the server again then he can connect.....as far as a client log we cant find the logs in the client folder. Im running vista 32 on the machine running the server if that helps. As far as any other needed info just let me know and Ill do my best to answer it as soon as possible. I host our ts and would really like to get ts3 goin as soon as possible, I'd love to be able to spam poke all my guildies :P

Check that your internal IP address isn't changing. A changed internal ip address will break the port forwarding in your router, but previous connections that are still active will keep working since the NAT already knows about them and would keep passing them through.

I have been having this same issue since last weekend when there were TS updates. Our server is currently hosted by gameservers.com.
I also have setup my own server for verification, and have had the same problem on that server also.

theres your problem
#1 Bind all your IPs and Ports with a proper ts3server.ini file.Code:2010-01-13 09:06:06.981653|INFO |FileManager | | listening on 0.0.0.0:30033 2010-01-13 09:06:07.091653|INFO |VirtualServer | 1| listening on 0.0.0.0:8767 2010-01-13 09:06:07.094653|INFO |Query | | listening on 0.0.0.0:10011
My video tutorial is for Linux but the concept of the ts3server.ini file is the same across all platforms.
Once you use a ts3server.ini and properly make the binary (the .exe for you Windows Dudes) execute the ts3server.ini you will see the 0.0.0.0 stuff fill in.
I bet once you sit down, grab a cup of coffee and read all the Windows install tutorials, the server query command .pdf file (That would be in the /docs folder in your server install) and my Linux one in case you need an ini file and the post install setup you will have no problems.
Also. To connect to the newer servers your clients MUST update to latest version if they are using old versions.
In the interest of better trouble shooting, please always pull ERRORs from log files or output windows when ever possible.
