Server running client unable to connect
Edit by mod
Please don't use this outdated script anymore! The script got an overhaul long time ago.
Please use the minimal or startscript instead
Again appologies for my lack of knowledge as to what I am doing.
I have a server running.
I can connect via telent to the query server, but am unable to connect with the client to the server and am not sure why.
This is what I get when I start the server up
erol@ice:~/ts3/teamspeak3-server_linux-x86$ ./ts3server_linux_x86

and this is what I get from the client when I try and connect
<22:47:42> Connecting to server 80.87.134.99:9987
<22:47:48> Failed to connect to server
port 9987 is definately open on the server. Teamspeak3 client is not being firewall blocked from client machine at it connects to other servers ok.
As far as I can tell the server is running correctly and listenting on port 9987, but the client does not seem able to connect
If anyone has any ideas as to what I can try / check or test to get this sorted it would be most appreciated.

hi,
please try to connect to your domain on this server (which is added to the ip)
Or edit your ts3server.ini with a ip address.

I can approve this. It seems that the Server must be bind to a specific ipaddress. Maybe this problem only occurs if the are more than one networkinterfaces configured on the server which runs ts3.
