    commands:
    login {username} {password}
    use sid=1
    servergroupaddperm sgid=1 permid=4356 permvalue=1 permskip=0 permnegated=0
    servergroupaddperm sgid=2 permid=4356 permvalue=1 permskip=0 permnegated=0

    Restart the server
    Just as the example above shows. Look at the server query manual that came with the server.

    not sure what the issue is as I was speaking with poison this morning. I added the above lines as a last resort. not too keen on giving those permissions when I didn't have them before and they worked fine. (what are the defaults for those permissions?).

    Also added some permissions to the guest group, but haven't been able to restart yet. Still though, no joy on getting it to show. Just very interesting that once installing a fresh Beta20 install this no longer works

    @Drayu

    I see on your website that it shows "error id=2568 msg=insufficient client permissions" is there more to the error that I can't see? I know when I was adjusting stuff on our server TSViewer actually stated what permission was causing the error.

    **EDIT**
    If I remove channelgrouplist from the guest server group I get the error below in our TSViewer. Same error if I remove the servergrouplist permission.

    Error
    Code: 2568
    insufficient client permissions (failed on channelgrouplist 16766/
    0x417E)

    I had to edit the values:
    servergroup for guest is 8 ----> sgid=8
    ID of permission (channelgrouplist) ---> permid=16766

    So this is my commandline to allow guest to view channelgrouplist:

    servergroupaddperm sgid=8 permid=16766 permvalue=1 permskip=0 permnegated=0

    I've run the script you listed as solution:

    Code:
    login as serveradmin (shell)

    commands:
    use sid=1
    servergroupaddperm sgid=1 permid=4356 permvalue=1 permskip=0 permnegated=0
    servergroupaddperm sgid=2 permid=4356 permvalue=1 permskip=0 permnegated=0

    Restart the server
    but after I run the commands in my ts3 client I get the message:

    Code:
    error id=0 msg=ok  (51 ms)
    error id=0 msg=ok  (76 ms)
    error id=0 msg=ok  (49 ms)
    Total: 176 ms
    is this no error or is it an error? ... Still after server restart I can't find my server on gametracker ... what am I doing wrong?

    gametracker and guest querys - new solution for a newer build?

    hey guys, sorry to bump this... but i was having this issue once again after re-installing TS3 on my server

    current server os-win server 2003 r2 enterprise sp2
    current client os-win xp sp3

    current ts server version-3.0.0-beta30 build 12998
    current ts client version-3.0.0-beta36 build 12815

    i was having issues with gametracker on the first install (an older version of 3, a month or so after ts3 was released...i had upgraded from using TS2.) - i resolved it by adjusting the permissions like you guys were discussing here.

    i had put a new os on my client pc and had forgotten to export the permissions/uniqueid/whatever, and my other admins had lost their privileges through formatting or whatever else as well.. long story short; i needed a new token, so i reinstalled the server side of TS3, coincidentally i needed to upgrade anyways - i just took the long route so i could get the new token.

    after re-installing i had to go through the short process of modifying the permissions so gametracker could query my new server once again...

    it seems the permission id's being referenced here are older?.. i tried running a few query commands through telnet as a guest (pretending i was gametracker) after executing the code you guys have here, and was met with errors. i used those errors, and came up with the proper permid's..here's what my end result is

    Code:
    login client_login_name=serveradmin client_login_password=********
    use sid=1
    servergroupaddperm sgid=1 permid=8470 permvalue=1 permskip=0 permnegated=0
    servergroupaddperm sgid=2 permid=8470 permvalue=1 permskip=0 permnegated=0
    servergroupaddperm sgid=1 permid=8472 permvalue=1 permskip=0 permnegated=0
    servergroupaddperm sgid=2 permid=8472 permvalue=1 permskip=0 permnegated=0
    servergroupaddperm sgid=1 permid=8474 permvalue=1 permskip=0 permnegated=0
    servergroupaddperm sgid=2 permid=8474 permvalue=1 permskip=0 permnegated=0

    break - results

    errorid=0 msg=ok (12 ms)
    errorid=0 msg=ok (43 ms)
    errorid=0 msg=ok (59 ms)
    errorid=0 msg=ok (11 ms)
    errorid=0 msg=ok (12 ms)
    errorid=0 msg=ok (43 ms)
    errorid=0 msg=ok (12 ms)
    errorid=0 msg=ok (58 ms)
    total: 250 ms

    Solved TS3 & GameTracker.com

    G'day guys!

    Recently all admins lost permissions in the server and we believe it was an update to blame.

    Either way we reset the server and now it is not recognised by gametracker.com. I have tried deleting the server from gametracker.com are starting again, no go.

    I have checked with the provider about the query port (10011) though still no go.

    Since the latest update the permissions system has changed alot and I have had a look around trying to find something I need to enable, which I have had no success.

    This is from the Server Log, kinda recognised, but something is stopping it...
    12/07/2011 3:12:33 AM VirtualServer Info query client disconnected 'Unknown from 208.167.225.11:59297'(id:9977) reason 'reasonmsg=connection lost'

    Regards,
    Samuel

    Ok guys, after nutting it out I have fixed the problem. The information is on this forum, though I am going to re-post it in my own words for all the simpletons out there to fix themselfs.

    Before I begin...

    What is the problem?
    After resetting our TS3 server gametracker.com couldn't connect to the server to gather the information required. Though this might affect new servers.

    Certain permissions under the "Guest" group of "Server Groups" need to be activated that allow "Guests", such as gametracker.com to come in and gather the required information.

    The problem is that older version of the TS3 client allowed you to easily enable / disable ALL permission via check boxes in the "Server Group" under the "Permissions" menu, though... the current version 3.0.0-rc2 [Build 14642] doesn't allow you to do this. There is limited permissions that you can change.

    How do I fix the problem?
    The below permissions need to be enabled...

    servergroupaddperm sgid=8 permid=8471 permvalue=1 permnegated=0 permskip=0
    servergroupaddperm sgid=8 permid=8473 permvalue=1 permnegated=0 permskip=0
    servergroupaddperm sgid=8 permid=8475 permvalue=1 permnegated=0 permskip=0
    servergroupaddperm sgid=8 permid=16781 permvalue=1 permnegated=0 permskip=0
    servergroupaddperm sgid=8 permid=16785 permvalue=1 permnegated=0 permskip=0

    This is how...

    1# You will need to create login details to login to the Server Query client.
    a) Go to "ServerQuery Login" under the "Tools" menu.
    b) Enter your chosen login name, such as "xxxclan" and click ok.
    c) Remember the given password and your login name, record it somewhere.

    2# Go to "Server Groups" under the "Permissions" menu. Record the number in the brackets next to 'Guest" on the left hand side. For instance we will use "851"

    3# In your main TS3 window, click on the server name at the top of the channel listing. In the right hand it will say something like

    Name: My Clan Name
    Address: 173.199.80.222:9190
    Version: 3.0.0-rc1 [Build: 14468] on Linux

    Grab the port number, in this case it is "9190"

    4# Go to "Server Query" under "Tools" menu.

    a) Under the "Authentication" tab, select "Manual" from the drop down menu and enter the login name and password from step 1#.
    b) In the top left text box copy and paste the above permissions that need to be enabled.
    c) NOTE: The next step we need to select the correct server group to change the permissions in. Get the guest number from step #2 eg: 851 and replace the 8 in the permissions next to "sgid=" to your gues number. It should look like this...

    servergroupaddperm sgid=851 permid=8471 permvalue=1 permnegated=0 permskip=0

    d) Add "use port=" plus the server port from step 3 "9190" at the top of the permissions list. It should look like this...

    use port=9190
    servergroupaddperm sgid=851 permid=8471 permvalue=1 permnegated=0 permskip=0
    servergroupaddperm sgid=851 permid=8473 permvalue=1 permnegated=0 permskip=0
    servergroupaddperm sgid=851 permid=8475 permvalue=1 permnegated=0 permskip=0
    servergroupaddperm sgid=851 permid=16781 permvalue=1 permnegated=0 permskip=0
    servergroupaddperm sgid=851 permid=16785 permvalue=1 permnegated=0 permskip=0

    e) And click the green play button.
    f) You should get a resault like this...

    error id=0 msg=ok (35 ms)
    error id=0 msg=ok (33 ms)
    error id=0 msg=ok (34 ms)
    error id=0 msg=ok (33 ms)
    error id=0 msg=ok (35 ms)
    error id=0 msg=ok (34 ms)
    Total: 204 ms
    error id=0 msg=ok (180366 ms)
    Total: 180366 ms

    Which states that everything is OK.

    --------------------------------------------------------------------------------

    If this has helped you please reply with a thank you!

    And I would like to say thanks to member "florian_fr40" for his information.

    Issue with new server....

    Hello,

    I ve just installed a TS3 server on centos 6 64bit

    I want to generate a status viewer in order our members to see whos online (like gametracker) but i cant....

    On the server ports 9987 30033 and 10011 are listening fine. I am able to connect to my server so every port is open correctlly. But when i try to make this script for the server status i get "cant connect to the server"

    Do you have any ideas to solve this??

    Also does anyone know how to add a cronjob in order to start the TS3 server when the server is restarting?

    Thanks in advance
