Hi all,
I have also lost my server admin on our TS3 public server. One day I had it and the next day it was gone - it was like my account was removed from the database, because my connection count was also reset. I asked a few of the server admins, but they all said they did not delete my account. The log file sadly does not contain any mention of users being deleted, so I cannot check if some admin deleted me accidentially, but I somehow doubt it. The identity I am using did not change, for one thing I recognize the UniqueID string and for annother I still have my permissions/accounts on other servers.
Anyhow, any pointers would be appreciated - I already got my administrator status back by a use of "servergroupaddclient" via the serverquery, but I would like to know what happened.

The problem seems to have been solved: I had used a different user name when I logged off and one of our admins thought my account was some duplicate account for some user - so he deleted it.

How to become server admin after a PC crash again?
Hello everyone!
First of all I should say that I'm from Germany, so my english is not that good...
Well, two days ago my PC crashed and I had to reinstall everything, including TS3.
But now I don't know how to become the server admin again.
I tried different administration tools, but it didn't work (I found no way to get a new token).
I'm running my TS3 on a Windows Root Server so theoretically I can reach every single file linked to my server.
I also got my login data (admin username and admin pw).
Is there any way of becoming the admin of MY OWN server again?
Thanks for your help!
DSP

You should always backup your Unique ID! Had you done this you wouldn't have lost your ServerAdmin.
The Search Function should reveal several Threads that contain the Information you seek, such as This Thread, including my Answer of course you have to use the port of your TS3 Server instead the 9494 used by the Person in that Thread.

Thanks a lot for your Help.
I think I did something wrong. If yes, please correct the data below
login serveradmin PASSWORD
use port=10011
tokenadd tokentype=0 tokenid1=6 tokenid2=0
I pasted this into Putty but it "replied":
tokenadd tokentype=0 tokenid1=6 tokenid2=0error id=1024 msg=invalid\sserverID
error id=1024 msg=invalid\sserverID
I'm not very into this stuff and I believe I just made a little mistake

DOH!
use port=<The Port of your VirtualServer, which you use to connect to your TS3 Server using the TS3 Client>
*goes getting some ice for forehead*

Don't ignore the Big Warning that pops up! It's there for a reason

In any case open a telnet connection to <serverIP>:10011 and do:
The second last line gives a Privilege Key as output which you need to copy and use in TS3 Client on your Server (Permissions -> Use Privilege Key -> Paste -> Ok).Code:login serveradmin <passwd> use port=<yourTS3Port> tokenadd tokentype=1 tokenid1=6 tokenid2=0 quit
If the Server is not the first one created on the Database replace the 6 with the number in parentheses behind Server Admin when you go to Permissions -> Server Groups in the Client.

If you rent the server from someone you will need to contact whoever you are renting the server from.
If you are hosting for yourself you can use the Query Interface to generate a new token to get your Admin back.
2nd last line will output Privilege Key which you will need to copy & paste into the Permissions -> Use Privilege Key Dialog in the Client.Code:login serveradmin <Password from very first launch> use port=<Port you enter when connecting from Client> tokenadd tokentype=0 tokenid1=<Number in Parentheses behind the Servergroup Name> tokenid2=0 quit
