Solved [No Bug] Conflict between Dolby usb soundcard and ts3

Plantronics Gamecom 777 features a Dolby surround USB soundcard:
    http://www.dolby.com/consumer/produc...mecom-777.html

When certain applications, including ts3 itself, tries to utilize the soundcard there often happens an error where the cursor several times a second gets "teleported/moved" to the top of the screen. This happens sometimes when just opening teamspeak 3 alone, where you have to close and open ts again and hope it work, but also happens consistently in the new Aliens vs. Predator Demo when it autoenables and tries to take over the mic during game startup.

Only way to solve it is to start the game with the soundcard plugged in, and then plug it in and start teamspeak.
Also, Teamspeak locks up if you remove the soundcard with teamspeak running.

So, I made this topic a long time ago and the problem still persists. Considering the lack of responses on the forum is this a problem I just have to live with or can I get to the developers in other ways than the forums?

You say "When certain applications" by this you mean not just TeamSpeak 3? If that is the case, it doesn't seem to be TeamSpeak that is the problem if it occurs with other applications as well. You say also "but also happens consistently in the new Aliens vs. Predator Demo when it autoenables and tries to take over the mic during game startup" which leads me to believe there is some sort of conflict between the sound card and your system components...that is my two cents, I'm sorry that I do not have a solution for you.

I mean Teamspeak 3 + certain applications. It only happens when Teamspeak 3 is running.

So it's a conflict between Teamspeak 3 and the soundcard when third party programs try to utilize the hardware as I see it.

I don't know what exactly to say to help you but here's some basic things to do...
    1) Run programs as an administrator (for vista and windows right click on app > properties > run as administrator. Try this for all programs including TS..
    2) Make sure your drivers for the device are up-to-date..

    What OS are you running?
Does this happen with other VOIP's? Including TS2? Try DLing TS2 and joining a public server and see if something similar happens...then we can narrow it down to TS3 for sure...keep me posted on how things go for you, I hope you can get it fixed, wouldn't want you to miss out on TS3 ;-)

All drivers are up to date. Running as administrator doesn't do anything on my windows 7 pro 64 bit and VOIP works fine in anything from Team Fortress 2 to Teamspeak 2. Only Teamspeak 3 seems to be affected.

I am using a Logitech G35 with Dolby for a while now and never had such problem.
I have no idea how this get caused.
Does it still appear with Client beta21?

Note: you should not unplug an USB soundcard while TS3 use it. You can switch to another audio profile to solve the hangup.

Nope, the problem still persists in beta 22.
It's getting quite annoying to alt+f4 and starting the program again, everytime I want to start TS.

I did found out something odd though. Vice City seams to trigger the stuck mouse every time the game launches. This is the only program that does this consistently.

Ok, I guess I finally solved the problem. It seemed the problem was a 3 way problem between:

    Logitech G9 mouse
    Dolby USB sound card
    and
    D-Link DUB-H4 USB hub

Apparently sometimes when TS access the 'Dolby USB soundcard' connected to the same USB hub as the mouse, then the mouse conflicts with the sound card and gets the mouse stuck in what's mostly an upwards direction.

I solved it by connecting the sound card directly to the computer. Silly, complex, 3 way hardware conflict :/
