Do I misunderstood the "server icon" feature? It should give the possibility to assign server/channel groups a server-side icon, is not it?
If it is true, how do I assign the group the server icon? Special handling's with "Group icon identifier"?
I have uploaded three icons yet.
Explain to me, please
I have found it! Just click in the "Group icon identifier" value box and double click on the icon

this sounds really bad like updating from 17 to 18 is going to cause issues.
I'm using sqlite, what needs to be done besides just untarring it over the folder?

Can someone please post the beta 17 ones as they should go into the ServerQuery, atleast if it works to then also insert the beta18 ones after that so all is working.
Hope to see them from now on in every new version so u know for sure that the database gets updated aswell without the need to change it manually and F* it all up

Imo the script isn't responsible for switching to another user, you as the system administrator are responsible for that. Use su -c in a /etc/rc.local script or something similar.
Personally I'm using Crontab to start my teamspeak server at boottime, this way I don't even need root access to autostart it, all I need is access to crontab.
this is the line in my (non-priviliged user's) crontab:
@reboot ~/teamspeak3-server_linux-x86/ts3server_linux_x86
note: it's not updated yet for the new startup script, but the "@reboot" part is the catch ofcourse, most people don't know about it's existence. Not sure if every cron daemon supports it, but vixie cron in Debian Lenny does, and most distro's use Vixie cron.
ps: this might be a nice addition to the FAQ

a "little" Tutorial how to fix the Permission.
First Step:
Make a BACKUP!!
Get SQLite - http://sqliteadmin.orbmu2k.de/
Get the ts3server.sqlitedb
Second Step:
Look at the Screenshots and follow the Numbers.

Stop the Server, Put the new one on the Server, Start the Server and see if it work.Code:serverid=YOURSERVERID id1=GROUPID ( 6 = ServerAdmin ) id2=0 perm_id=b_permission_modify_power_ignore perm_value=1 perm_gegated=0 perm_skip=0

Good morning,
We can't run the serverquery commands to add the new permissions.
There is always an errormessage:
error id=0 msg=ok (8 ms)
error id=0 msg=ok (28 ms)
error id=2570 msg=insufficient\spermission\smodify\spower (18 ms)
Total: 54 ms
We can't take the SQL commands cause we use sqllite.
We don't know since which beta we have to add new permissions, we ignore this but now its unavoidable.
Has anyone all commands for the serverquery or time to speak in Teamspeak to talk about it?
This could be very nice.
Thanks for help.
Mfg

In this manner, could I simply take the client's and their permissions and migrate them into a fresh new database? Same with the vserver and channels and their settings?
The reason I ask is that I'm realizing I'm way behind on these table database updates (have not done them since before beta 7..). It might be easier to just create a new database and migrate the clients and settings over.. yes?
Rather than try an go through and figure out what fields I'm missing in different tables. Asuming I can use SQLite Admin to do this? I've not used it before.

Yes, simply stop the server, overwrite the files, do the sql or query commands and you should be done.
But in case something goes wrong, backup your database
