Setup Linux Server, Can't connect to server
I followed Kold's tutorial for setting up a ts3 linux server on a hosted site. I had to run "./ts3server_minimal_startup.sh inifile=ts3server.ini", the inifile being edited without being converted to dos and all the IP's to what the host tells me my dedicated IP address is. Everything happened as it was supposed to (killed the screen command when it didn't start at first) it seemed to start up fine. The only difference was whitelist was added at the end. Even when I check it now, via ps x, it says
"8883 /root/dev/pts/2 S+ 0:00 /bin/bash ./ts3server_minimal_runscript.sh inifi
8884 /root/dev/pts/2 Sl+ 0:00 ./ts3server_linux_amd64 inifile=ts3server.ini"
when I launched it, the IP's matched up to the dedicated IP of the site.
load up TS3 on my machine (64 bit windows 7), I get 'Failed to connect to server". I have tried other servers and I can connect. no error messages, nothing. I'm at a loss
