Help, unable to connect to a server

when i try to connect to some server i get:
Error:-1000
Exception Exception:
Did not recive UDP reply from server.

i dont have a firewall or any thing like that so it cant be any blocked UDP ports, i do have a router but i didn't change any thing with his settings and i was able to connect to that same server up untill now.
also, the people in the server told me that they see me connect to it for a few secs when ever i try 2 connect, but i only get this error message.
if any1 can help me i would really appriciate it, thanks.
