    25 Rank Icon Pack

Download link has been restored. Other links may still be damaged. Link has been fixed since July 26.

    (A Preview)

I created this using our rank system. If you aren't familiar with it, you can view it here:
    http://www.thehgh.com/modules.php?name=Clan_Roster

It includes icons for the following ranks in our system:

    General of Army
    General
    Lieutenant General
    Major General
    Brigadier General
    Colonel
    Lieutenant Colonel
    Major
    Captain
    1ST Lieutenant
    2ND Lieutenant
    Sergeant Major Army
    Command Sergeant Major
    Sergeant Major
    First Sergeant
    Master Sergeant
    Sergeant First Class
    Staff Sergeant
    Sergeant
    Corporal
    Specialist
    Private First Class
    Private
    Recruit
    Retired

I attached a preview that was how it looked immediately after I implemented it in my teamspeak. I also modified the 'Client Talk Power' for each group starting with Retired at '25', then Recruit at '26', and so on up the hierarchy so that players were also sorted accordingly to their rank.

If you use a similar rank system or if you may find this useful, you can download it from the following URL!

    DOWNLOAD
    www.thehgh.com/ts/ranks16x16/ranks.rar

Included are the original rank sizes and a folder with all of the modified ones. Note that not all are exactly 16x16. I did this for myself but thought I'd share it for others to use or inspire others to do something similar and to show just what you can do in Teamspeak 3...Great work on the Greatest VoIP!

Hmm..what size are your originals? I use PS CS4 and constrain the proportions and make sure one is 16px and the other is =16 or <16px

Thanks for sharing your work with us, greatly appreciated.
I want to implement these ranks on my server, but I wondered, whether you created a server group for each new rank and then assigned an icon to each group or if there is an alternative way to assign an icon to a specific person.

I currently created my own very amateurish set of icons, but I was unable to
use icons larger then 16x16. Your pack contains some with x * 25 dimensions, can you use those?

Yes - there needs to be a group for each ranking you wish to implement because currently, icons can only be assigned to a group (from my understanding). I'll test some things when I arrive at home today to see if you can assign an icon to a specific person but from what I've gathered, they'll need to be in a server group that has a specified icon.

16x16 is the current limit on group icons and it is not expected to go any higher as stated in this thread http://forum.teamspeak.com/showthrea...ght=icon+sizes
In that thread dante also says something about adding an icon client permission, which makes it sounds as if you will soon be able to assign an icon to an individual (based on what I've gathered).

My pack does contain some images that are x * 25, these are the originals that are how they were before I scaled them down to fit in TS3, in case you (your clan) chose to implement these rankings on your whole clan & teamspeak server (so you didn't have to search for original sizes, etc...). The additional 16 * x icons are in a seperate folder which I do believe is labeled.

I hope that cleared things up a bit...if you need some serious help with this perhaps I could help you out on your teamspeak server if need be, message me or make another post... :-)

Thanks a lot! I kind of thought along the same lines. Individual icons would be great.

I see there is a slight misunderstanding. These icons weren't made to go client side. There is not a place in your TeamSpeak 3 Client folder for this specific set of icons to be placed. They must be uploaded to your server and assigned to a group. You must be the server admin as well in order to assign the right permissions. What version of TeamSpeak 3 Server are you currently running? I think that your server must be updated to at least Beta18 in order to be able to upload icons to the server. Also, I know that many hosts aren't updated or don't allow clients to upload icons...but you may be able to request it. Is the server yours or are you renting it? If so, who is your host?
