There is a bit more to setup than previous versions of TS. Become familiar with the permissions system. Be prepared to invest time in reading these forums and experimenting w/ the permissions.

Basic Permissions Example - I have modified another user's spreadsheet w/ my clan's server settings. It's basic but it works for a small clan.

Thanks for the info Poisonpanik, unfortunately it looks severely complicated to me. I'm not too bad with tech, but things like this require me to take more of a 'Monkey see, monkey do' approach.
All I really require at this early stage is the basics really, i.e what I need to d/load, whats needed to be able to host it, the costs involved etc.

TeamSpeak is free to the basic/average user. Go to the download page here in teamspeak.com and download the client and server for your respective operating system. That youtube video I listed is exactly what you need to get a basic server online. You'll need to forward a couple ports in your router and then you should be all set.
Default ports are:
Default voice port (UDP): 9987
Default file transfer port (TCP): 30033
Default serverquery port (TCP): 10011

Also read what is in here http://www.teamspeak.com/?page=literature especially TeamSpeak 3 Permissions_Guide.txt, TeamSpeak 3 Token_Guide.txt, TeamSpeak 3 Server Query Manual.pdf.

So, me is this ominous "another user's spreadsheet"

For private use TS is free, the standard license allows you to use 1 server and up to 32 slots.
If you need more, you should contact Triton and apply for a NPL-License.
Also, damaboo offered several times his help in installing/configuring a TS Server.
(But watch out that he doesnt overtake it
