How does user protect their user nic?

In the past I've been an admin using team speak version 2. Now I've setup a Linux server for a regional Airsoft group to use. I myself am using Vista to run the client. However, there are some users connecting using a Linux client.

How does a user protect their user nick? From what I can see so far anyone can try to reuse your chosen nick if you are not currently logged in and using it. Now I understand that due to the unique user ID they can't assume your privileges but at first glance they could fool others into thinking they are you until a closer investigation. I understand that with version 3 you can no longer password protect the user nick: You can password the server logon and the channel logon if one choose.

I know my topic only contained one question but I have several.

Within an organization would there ever been a need for anyone except the server administrator to access the server for team speak reasons? Or can everything that needs doing to manage a group of users with various permissions be done from the client side?

I’m looking for a how to guide to help with the following example of structure.

    Top level Admin
Can grant lower level admin status
    Lower level admins
Can create new channel and sub channels for their own team
Can act as admin and regulate users in the common default server channel
Can not control anything in any other lower level admin sub channels
    User
Protected user names that can log into their team channel with their teams channel password
    Can use default server channel
Can kick guest from server and default server channel if they misbehave in the default channel

I'm sure I will have many other questions but some help on sorting these out will go along way to helping me help my Airsoft group enjoy the new version of team speak.

And BTW the sound is outstanding on version 3! Everyone of our group that has had a chance to test it has been blown away by the quality of the sound.

    To answer your other questions...

There is no way to "protect" a nickname. I can login to the same server with the same nickname. What you can do is add people to your contact list so you know when someone isn't who they claim to be.

If you've got specific questions please ask them and we'll try to answer them. I am willing to bet anything you have a question about has already been asked in the forums. Just dig around a bit. I am more than happy to help as well.
