I recently formatted my PC and re-installed the latest TS3 (beta16). Since then, whenever I connect to the particular TS3 server that I connect to for my clan, my CPU will spike up to 50% and stay float around there. Others in my clan are experiencing this same issue and I know at least one of them has beta16.

I have since uninstalled Beta16 and re-installed Beta12 (since I believe that is what I had before) and it is down to 3% CPU Usage. Here are my specs in case they're needed.

AMD 64 X2 5600
6GB Ram
Windows 7 x64
Built-in sound

I don't connect to any other TS3 servers but I'd be happy to help troubleshoot the issue if someone thinks a different server might provide different results.
