...can anyone give some esoteric solutions for server connections issues. I can connect locally no problem....but no-one outside can connect to me.
I have checked off every box, opened ports on router, windows firewall, software security firewall, allowed full access for inbound and oubound traffic on the TS3 server, and still the message 'Failed to connect to server' keeps coming up. I am using the right port numbers, and the correct ip address. I also have the passwords the same ...but to no avail....HELP, please? Anyone? This is not the simple fix, obviously, because I believe I am following protocol but to no avail

Are people able to ping the public IP of the host machine?

No? Even if everything is 100% working and people CAN connect to your TS some routers have the option to block ping requests.

Yes? Pinging an address is pretty close to the bare minimum of success but it's a start.

Don't post your public IP address here, some people freak out about people knowing their IP. Ask one of the people you're trying to get connected to ping you.

Do post some more detailed info on your system setup.
Router type if any?
Cable? DSL? Dialup?(may your god bless your patience) or how does the host machine connect to the internet?

Have you ever hosted a server type application or game in the past on this similar hardware/software setup?
